can we talk about our best designer purchases?? This is making me anxious that I need to stop hoarding 🤣
My Rolex. I will love it forever and it makes me so happy everytime I wear it. From a money point of view, I think I've made at least £5k on it too.

Also loving my LV Pochette Felicie. I've worn it so much since I got it and love that it can go from day to night.

That's brilliant! Good customer service always makes me want to be a repeat buyer. I hope I love all this stuff 😂 I did promise myself I'd stop shopping completely but I want pretty things  I was thinking of going to H&M after work to get a cheap pair of white jeans, to see if I can pull them off

I used to use Farfetch a lot but I'm so wary of them since my brother ordered some things off there to my apartment, they marked it as delivered but the concierge had no record of it, they had no signature and no drivers proof of postage but refused to refund. We took it up with DPD, who said it was Farfetch's issue to deal with, and they basically insinuated we were lying. He had to do a chargeback through the bank in the end. Really off-putting.
That’s terrible of both companies!
Oh something I really like about Revolve is they have purchase reviews which is always handy when looking for sizing recommendations.

A couple of regrets:
• Prada biblitheque tote bag - I remember begging my dad to buy this for me after my exams, it was one of my first designer bags and it was on sale too. Looking back it was still way overpriced but when it arrived I LOVED it. Sadly it’s way too big for me and doesn’t fit my style/life (I’m more into crossbody and shoulder bags)…I just can’t bring myself to sell it. Now I try and assess whether bags will work well with my life

• My first pair of Louboutins. They were a gift and I hadn’t tried them on, so I guessed my size (and sized up, because someone told me they run small. I was too shy to tell the person who gifted them that they dont fit :( Sadly they are way too big, even with insoles

I never got why people say Loubs run small I’ve sized down in a couple of pairs otherwise true to size. It’s a shame about CL really because they do still make some nice shoes but as someone else said the red sole puts me off a bit now.

Some of my best designer purchases:
• Cartier love bracelets, I never take them off, cost per wear is fantastic and they’re so comforrable

• Chanel medium classic flap, it makes me happy every time I wear it, goes with everything and the price increases make me so happy that I bought it when I did 😂

• Louis Vuitton Alma bb, worn this to death, in all weather conditions, my every day bag. Can’t imagine a similar bag that will work so well for me (any suggestions? ♥)

• Louis Vuitton pochette accessoire, I use it as a little accessory pouch in my bags (mini perfume, plasters, hair bobbles, tampons, medicine etc.). Always has everything I need

I was gifted a Cartier bracelet, and I've never taken it off. It is so easy to wear and looks good with both casual and dressy outfits.

Still obsessed with the little pink Chanel clutch I got on holiday in September. Every time I use it it makes me fantasise about what I'll buy next time I'm in Chanel St. Tropez 😆

Completely agree. I have some in my size (37) and the first wear I was a bit worried they didn't fit because they were tight, but they're fine now. I just can't walk in them 🤣 Bit of a waste I suppose but they're pretty to look at. Red soles have reached their point definitely.

The LV key pouch is also a great purchase for me, I put my keys on it, keep cards and cash in the pouch and it’s easy to just grab and go

I bought from Revolve a couple of years back and the item arrived damaged, they were fab and replaced it really quickly, no quibbles and no duties!

Just wondering if anyones got the nylon Prada rucksack? I’m thinking of getting it for a baby bag. I had the Gucci one with my last babe sold it to a friend 🤦🏼‍♀️.

Best buys

Small classic flap and WOC both in black caviar.

LV Neverfull and porchette on long strap both so great for travelling.

Worst Bayswater back in the day. Bruising from the clasp on my arm and probable scoliosis! Lol

sounds like a good plan as traditional baby bags get old quickly, whereas a backpack is always useful.

I really want to buy a small classic flap this year, sometimes I feel like my medium is a tad too big for evenings and I feel like a small with gold hardware would be more appropriate.

the prices are insane and I’ve had a look preloved and they all have that “vintage” look, whereas I like the newer, grainy caviar look :( even secondhand the prices are near enough to the retail price that it makes me think I should just buy from the boutique.

what do you guys think?

If you can find a good vintage I’d defiantly say vintage. It is nice to have a brand new Chanel of course but honestly I find the vintage Chanel’s usually are much better quality. I really don’t find the newer Chanel’s as good. It can be hard finding the one that is right for you on the vintage market but they are out there and they are usually all extremely well looked after.

My best purchase has to be my Chanel boy. I bought it in 2015 when they retailed for £2690. It’s the bag I’ve owned the longest and not sold.

Gucci princetowns has anyone bought these to a cobbler to widen them or does the leather loosen with wear? I returned these for the Brixton because it felt like my heel was constantly hanging out of the heel when I tried to walk in them( I sized up and have wide feet) gutted because I really liked them! Are they comfortable to walk in?

Hi everyone, what are your thoughts on the Celine triomphe belts? I think they are so beautiful but do you think they’re just a trend or will be a classic? 🤔

Triomphe is like an ‘it’ item right now but it is very classic. I try My best to stay away from ‘trend’ high end pieces sometimes though I can’t help but buy one or two. I caved and bought the black Triomphe bag. It is absolutely gorgeous and it’s defiantly got that classic look to it. I think same with the belt.

Some of my best designer purchases:
- Medium and small Chanel classic flap in black caviar and lamb skin, both are timeless and beautiful.

- Small Chanel boy bag in a light grey caviar leather with matte gold hardware, it literally goes with everything and elevates any outfit.

- Any mini satin bags by Dior such as the mini lady Dior in black satin with strass to imitate the cannage pattern or the mini saddle bag in pink satin and crystal hardware are perfect for the evenings.

- LV Capucines mini in the colour taupe and and a python handle. It’s such a statement piece and different to my usual bags.

Yeeeeh, I’m so torn with the Triomphe! I love it and it IS a classic but at the same time I feel it’s kind of a trend? Remember when Bottega was not unknown but not hanging off every influencers arm , more a IYKYK kinda brand due to the lack of logos and now I feel like it’s a bit a chav 🤯🥺 Thats how I feel the Celine lines are going….

I will keep looking at the preloved market, I think the issue I have as well is, most of the time I can’t feel the bag in person, whereas if I’m in the boutique I can feel and critique it to make sure I get a perfect one.

Oh well, I’m not in a rush! The search continues ☺

Heya all. Where is best to resell designer bags? LP's offer was shocking. Its on ebay of course but just wondering if there's any others who give a decent price?

Personally I usually go with new as I can’t deal with the stress of resellers, fakes and refunds. I rejected a few bags at Chanel until a perfect one was miraculously “just” delivered. Id agree quality is up and down.

Its nuts how some of my bags have gone up by 2k in just a few years.

Check out the purse forum for loads of advice on resellers. Naughty Pigeon Nest was good a few years ago.
