The thread title says no weddings, but if you scroll back on one of their FBs you can see they renewed their wedding vows last year. This was not a simple, perfunctory exercise, it literally looks like a full blown wedding. The balloon arch alone must have cost hundreds of pounds 
Not a fan of The Sun but they ran a DEPHER story today.
They fail to mention he reinstated himself hours later.

I am 100% convinced he worked on older people and/or their relatives so Depher was included in wills and left legacies. We've seen tweets backing this up.

I’ve mentioned on here before but my background is legal and a portion of my corporate days were spent in fraud, specifically around investigating individuals in various settings. The two categories, broadly, tended to be the stupid or the psychopathic. So incapable of doing things properly and mess up, or purposely do it but there is a specific game plan. Then you have the rare few; the absolute True Con Man. There is no logic, it becomes more reckless, there are several motivations on the go and crucially - they will not stop and are a million times harder to pin down. There seems to be some sort of perverse joy in the whole thing for them, and massively compulsive behaviour. This is why I have always been so resolute in the con man argument with James. I have met his sort before and they are bloody terrifying when let loose, as we have seen repeatedly.
The reality is that without a specialist team (I can only hope Lancs Police have a good one), and a bloody determined lead investigator, justice will not be done. This absolutely needs looking at as a serious criminal matter and I wouldn’t be surprised if he is being talked about by the Vulnerable Adults Team in the local authority. He targets vulnerable people and had admittedly taken money he shouldn’t. He is a bloody crook.
And just as a side note, whilst I remember, as my fella made a good, basic point whilst I was getting enraged by the details - if James loves Depher so much, if he cares so much about the work - why wouldn’t he just step away completely? He has completely poisoned the well and it gets worse the longer he stays. No shame at all.

So the chap I've censored in purple is the man who whistleblew regarding the house, he has a lot of local knowledge and is well connected to relevant people. This is in response to one of the contractor invoices today. He believes James is smearing local gas engineers, reporting them and posting their invoices in order to make them look bad and damage their businesses.
I did a shocked face on @Jelly Bean 's post but I'm not actually shocked. Nothing seems off limits in the pursuit of cash for this guy.
What's the end game here? Does he want to be run out of Burnley?
This would not shock me in the slightest, the man is unhinged.
I want to be careful how I ask this but I’m absolutely convinced that at one point, James used the death of a daughter to highlight Depher and maybe even suggested the name was in honour?! This was a long while ago, when he first came about. Did this happen? I will have another root through the threads but I’m 99% convinced.
Suddenly doubting my awful memory - but I'm fairly sure I saw a tweet/message recently where a relative said they knew their deceased relative wanted a legacy to go to Depher for all the good they did.

I have fleeting memories of this - was is the old person (obviously, unknown if female and asian) who had no money but was going to leave money in the will? Or is this another person? We might as well just assume all of Burnley have been ripped off by him at this point.
The invoice in question is over a year old which I hadn't even spotted. It's the only one of this subcontractor he's posted and he's spammed the other more recent ones in his group rather than on his personal page. I think M (the whistleblower) is bang on the money with his theory. 
I posted a comment on here last evening, from a Facebook thread. In it, someone said he reports other engineers to the GasSafe register to narrow down his competition. It ties in with all the ‘we attended a job that was poorly done’ shtick.
Yes, but it was a son who was either stillborn or died as an infant. James made multiple Twitter posts about how he had promised that he would be “the man that (his child) would have grown up to be” by running Depher
Unsure if this is what you're talking about but he's previously claimed the loss of his premature born son back in 2013 was what inspired DEPHER (archived article about that here.) He used to tweet about it often but in a way that made me very uncomfortable. It's part of what gave me the ick about him when I first encountered his twitter a couple of years ago. The posts always felt weirdly exploitative of the situation, often deflecting from criticism or prompting engagement but I felt bad for thinking this way because the loss of a child is insurmountable.

IMO he’s trying to imply it’s children who have been taken away due to poverty. Obviously we know it’s when his kids were younger and so because we have that context it looks like that but I bet if you showed that original Twitter post without the extra context to people, that’s what they’d think he was showing.That somehow makes the caption 100x worse

Instead of having £70k 'for the community' they had £400 pw? Like seriously how the actual duck does that make any sense at all?
He keeps wanging on about 'if it was in a bank the interest would be less' but the £70k wouldn't be hanging around in a bank would it? It would be used where the donors intended it to be used.
