God I'm so glad I'm not alone in my avoidance of the 'outdoorsy' type! I have no idea why they always like me online! It's when all their pictures are them skiing and jumping out of a plane or running and you can't even see their face properly, I'm like...you'd get me to run on the pain of death, I can't think of anything worse.

I do think some blokes like to present themselves as 'action men'. Like they have a photo of the one time in their life they ever ran or climbed a hill 😆

Oh for sure

Just like when it comes to drinking... I'm not a big drinker and couldn't be with someone who's weekends revolved around getting drunk. Nothing wrong with it if that is your idea of fun, and I genuinely mean that, but it'd just be my idea of hell
Yeh that’s not my idea of fun anymore. Bottomless brunch I don’t mind, but just going out and getting leathered and then wasting the next day (or even 2 days later) being hungover doesn’t appeal to me anymore. Maybe it’s because my hangovers are getting worse the older I get!!

I always struggle when people ask me what I do for fun or what hobbies I have. 😕

So do I. Like I'm not that interesting....haha - I work quite a stressful job, so on my days off I like to binge watch crappy boxsets, go for a walk on my own and listen to a podcast, or go clothes shopping haha! I'm partial to a nice pub / eating out, but other than that, I think I'm quite boring.....I hear people at work talk about yoga and rowing and all of these different activities and I think my interests must be really boring lol!

I used to work in a place where you’d get asked what your weekend plans were and then on Monday, you would get asked what you did on a weekend and they had always had a jam packed weekend and I did nothing except do a big shop and go to the gym 😂. Now I work with 3 other men and they don’t ask me and I don’t ask them, which suits me fine 😂

I find the hobbies question so awkward too, I don't play any sports and am not into anything in particular which makes me sound like a right boring witch!

I don’t believe too much of what people say in their bio. One of my friends says they love to be adventurous and travel, socialise every weekend etc etc. Couldn’t be further from the truth, they haven’t been out of the country since a holiday as a kid and you will always find them on their sofa 😂

I had a Like from an “outdoorsy type” on Hinge a while ago. He was fit and I must have been in a good mood on that day so I decided to match him. Upon reading a bit more of his profile, I suspect he might be some sort of born again spiritualist or possibly a recovered addict, but I stress again, he was fit. I lasted roughly 3 messages with him before he did my bleeping head in and I had to unmatch.

He started off by asking me what my “passions” were and what “sets my soul on fire” which made me roll my eyes so hard I could see my own brain but.. he was fit 💁🏻‍♀️ So I put my disdain to one side and said I was into my fitness and I really enjoy cooking. Neither of which seemed to appease him because he asked the same two questions again, at which point, the real ThreeSteaksPam came rushing to the surface, sent a withering reply and swiftly unmatched 🤣 Since then, no more outdoorsy types 🙅🏻‍♀️ We have nothing in common and I can’t force it.

'Good answers' like you're doing a test for him?! Absolutely not 🙅‍♀️

A while ago a guy asked me 'so what's your thing?' like? Am I supposed to have an answer to this? My 'thing'?

Exactly 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’d love to know whether that approach has ever got him anywhere and what kind of spiritual, tee total, yoga loving rock climber he has actually ended up with 🤣

I dated a guy similar to this. He'd had a past with drugs and psychosis and had basically got through it and now saw himself as some sort of bleeping god. Like seriously I've never met someone who loved themselves more than him, there's having confidence and then there's thinking you are actual Jesus. He was painful to listen to, but damn he was SO good-looking so thats why it lasted longer than it should 🤣 I see him on dating sites and my heart still has a little flutter because he's stunning haha.
