Let's just for the purposes of this example say I'm a basic witch fiat 500 girl obsessed with doing my hair and makeup and getting my Starbucks and my dating profile reflects this...I'm not saying opposites can't ever attract but my biggest annoyance has got to be men who are a total polar opposite to me (let's say a good 15/20 years older, maybe a greebo rocker looking type, who attends pagan rituals and thinks washing and grooming is confirming to unnecessary societal rules) then proceeds to send me a like....???!!??

I've no problem with anyone living life however they choose but when we're clearly so completely different we'd struggle to keep conversation going for a 10 minute chat, let alone be able to committ to a romantic relationship what's the point in swiping?

Omg yes!! I keep getting swiped me men who are into biking and hiking. Eg this guy. 10 years older than me and probably 100 times more energy than me. I go to the gym 2/3 times a week. I always used to get men swiping on me that were wanting a gym buddy, loved hiking, running, climbing etc.
My profile clearly showed I’m not a skinny or outdoorsy gal and clearly stated I was into video games and watching TV in bed with pizza

I find it actually so rude. Like up to 5 years either way I think is fine to assume would be a tolerable age gap for most people but when it's getting 10 years or more that is 100% getting into a specialised niche that many people are not into, so why are you assuming I'd be interested in an old man from a completely different generation to myself?!
Anyone else feeling at the minute like dating apps are at the worst point for a while since Xmas? Me and all my single friends have noticed it...we wondered if it was cost of living related

Really?! Last January was a good dating month for me, and a friend of mine had like 4 dates, one every weekend
I personally thought it would work the opposite way like people who had been happy with being single would have been lonely over Xmas or made a new year's resolution to find someone. I pray you are correct though as this month has been the worst on record and if it gets any worse I may as well join a convent

Why is there a tit load of men under 6’ on the apps. Sometimes I lower my age preference to 5’11/5’10 to see who has liked me and this guy was attractive, but his bio was off putting. Mentioning sex TWICE!
And these men are always baffled that they are still single!
