So they are pushing for vaccine passports in NI. Honestly I feel totally backed into a corner. Iā€™m a stay at home mummy whoā€™s family live in Scotland. Thereā€™s no toys groups open yet and soft play gives me the boakā€¦. The only social life I have is meeting my friend on a Monday for breakfast and a catch up and they are going to stop me doing it šŸ˜”

The DUPs against them so it might take them a while to slog it out ! I wonder if they do bring them in how strict they'll be ? will it be proof of a neg test or vaccine only . I got my other half concert tickets for January and he's not vaccinated so I might have to go alone if they're here before that šŸ˜‚ or he might have to borrow his brothers phone for the night and use his covid pass ...Do you not have any parent and toddler groups in your area that you can take your wee one? they're all open where I am .

No I think everything is still closed. I keep asking on the Facebook page for the area and no body repliesā€¦ well one woman does saying they meet to go walking but thatā€™s not what I need. My 2.5year old isnā€™t talking yet because heā€™s had no socialising with his peers due to lockdown šŸ˜”
Iā€™m hoping they at least leave coffee shops and cafes alone šŸ˜”

Do you not have any community centres near you ? that's usually where you'll find your nearest toddler group . Does your child understand what you ask them to do eg close the door or get their shoes ? language is complicated it's not just talking it's their understanding of things.

My aunt in Northern Ireland runs a toddler morning at the church and it only started back this week so hopefully youā€™ll see some open up soon it can be really isolating not being in the company of other mums I know some people hate mum & tot groups but for others it really can be a lifeline!

No community centres that I know of but Iā€™m keeping an eye on fb groups etc to see if there is anything opening.
Yes he has a fairly good level of understanding, he has selective hearing which doesnā€™t help šŸ˜‚ but he does understand most things. The HV is coming out soon to see him and refer him for speech therapy but itā€™s a big worry for me. Lots of tears the last few months

It really is very isolating. I live in the country next to my MIL šŸ˜© and apart from the school run I really donā€™t see anyone. Being a stay at home mum was something I was so looking forward to....... I just didnā€™t envisage the global pandemic thrown in šŸ˜©šŸ˜©šŸ˜©

You've nothing to worry about x my eldest son attended ST for a couple of years they then discovered his delay was down to his hearing being down ,does your wee one have any repeated ear or throat infections ? there's a lot of things contribute to speech delay but if they've a grasp of what you're asking them to do there's usually nothing of concern ,they usually come on leaps when they start school .

Thank you! Honestly Iā€™m so glad I found tattle ā¤
Mmmm no ear infections but he has had a few sore throats mainly due to getting a cold but Iā€™ll keep an eye on that too.
Iā€™m hoping I can defer him starting school as heā€™l only just have turned 4 and with him missing so much I think he wonā€™t be ready. I saw it was being discussed in Stormont the other day so fingers crossed this is a possibility
Sorry to derail ā¤

If he's congested that can affect their hearing too my son had to get his adenoids out as his eardrums were inverted because of nasal congestion that was causing perforation in his eardrums . I honestly would let him start school you'll see a big difference, kids learn more from other kids than they do from us if he's toilet trained I would let him go ,it's always hard to let go when it's your first but the younger they integrate the easier it is for them and you x .....sorry for derailing too.

Was just reading this it is a lot different for pandemic babies. I saw a child taken to the supermarket for the first time a few days ago and they were mesmerised by the whole thing where as in normal times theyā€™d have been going there from their no age.

Not sure whether this is the correct thread to pop this on- thought it was worth sharing.

This is a thought-provoking interview with a highly-esteemed gentleman of integrity.

I honestly don't understand the point in locking down the unvaccinated (or anyone). The vax doesn't stop you getting it or spreading it and although I haven't seen the stats, I'm sure most unvaccinated people are like me - under 50, not ill or vulnerable and most likely already had covid. So there can't be that many unvaccinated that would end up in hospital.

The thing that makes it even more confusing is there is a drug now that has 90% success rate in stopping hospitalisation. So even if someone like me did for some reason end up really ill, I can now just take an anti viral drug.

When are we gonna just fund the NHS instead of this madness. What many people don't realise is the NHS is designed to run on full capacity, because enplty beds and free staff is classed as waste. That's not the right way to run health services when you can't accurately predict how many people in each area will get ill.

Interesting news from Australia. Hospitals over-run. And yet the State has very strict border controls, almost no cases and very high vaxx rates - surely this points to only 1 thing ? "Delayed reaction to Covid". Right šŸ¤”

It seems to be a running trend atm what is going on with these countries with high vaxx rates and strict measures going to tit ? even China is seeing a surge it's not adding up at all.

Delayed reaction to covid or reaction to the vax.

Does anyone know whether they still test people over there. It may be that their infection rate is just higher than they think because they're not testing.

I was surprised our dictator didnā€™t announce this yesterday but I have a feeling sheā€™s waiting until boris announcing his ā€˜plan bā€™. I think weā€™re weeks away from this happening and I really hope that it will be a huge wake up call for a lot of people. Vaccines donā€™t = freedom. Quite the opposite actually.

Nope! Gibraltar has ā€œcancelled Christmasā€ still restrictions and face masks with a 118% vaccination rate!

I just wonder where does this end
