A smelly cow who can't walk the length of herself. Sure thought she lost all this weight to be healthy, but can't walk up a hill? It was all about vanity

My friends husband was on DLA for a year or so after an accident left him disabled. They were telling me he was getting 600 quid a week in benefits and he wasn't claiming for everything he could. They were firing money at him. Told him if he needed new furniture or appliances they would sort him out. Thankfully he was able to get off it as he found a job that suited him but he said that it is shocking how many things they can claim for. He said he wouldn't be surprised but they are claiming for those holidays as respite trips.
Wouldn’t really say it’s shocking if people are actually disabled and cannot work to earn their own.

Yes he was getting 600 a week when everything was taken into account- rent assistance, light and heat assistance etc. He could have been claiming more for different things but he didn't. Yes I agree its not shocking for the genuine cases that really need it but the reality it that there are plenty claiming DLA and benefits that don't really need them. That is what I was referring to as shocking.
