They put yellow drops in, to dilate the pupil so they can look at the back of the eye.

Either it was his first visit, in which case he's lying about his eye issues, or he's had it done before, in which case he knew and is lying for *comedy* content.

He talks shite cause my oldest gets it and it dilutes the pupil, she has underlying health condition(do check for utevitis). And her eyes look like she's been and it wears off after couple hours not 9/10 hours later also it doesn't go near skin but it can make eyes go slightly yellow.
