And all this time I thought Derek was the one reading his DMs like he told us? Surely Saint Melvin is too busy saving small businesses and curing the ill to reply to the peasantry?

It’s because he spends his entire life with it leaning against that horrible headboard.
I’m actually shocked with how flat the back of his head is, I’ve never seen a grown adult with a head that shape? I don’t know if it’s just the angle and stuff but bleeping hell 🙈

So, he stepped down from his role 2 years ago when he went to his manager and said manager put him into another roll that he’s been doing for 3-4 years now. The role he is in is something visual but the reason he stepped down is because of his visual issue.

Can someone clarify that I have this correct? I am starting to think that I’m going mad by every dot I watch.

He’s absolutely hysterical.. I cringe so bad watching him but I can’t stop! He thinks he hit the jackpot cos he was store manager once.. behave Mario 🤣 He’s making out he’s winding down in his working years.. your 36 you’ve got a long while to go before you retire you tit. God forbid if he ever has a real problem to deal with, he’d have a breakdown!

Please correct me if I’m wrong here as I worked in retail a good while back so things may be different now.

I’ve worked in loads of different stores and aside from the smaller more independent ones, displays in the bigger high street chains were usually decided by someone at head office or at least by a regional visual merchandiser. So that each store was promoting the same items that the business was keen to sell, they would all be sent the same window displays, floor layouts etc that anyone in the store could follow. There may have been someone designated to follow and set them up but they didn’t design them. Not even someone with a ‘knack for visual aesthetics’ that he specialises in apparently.

This 🔝 you need qualifications to be a visual merchandiser and certainly wouldn’t be expected to split your time between creating displays and then in the store room 🙄

I get the impression that he unloads the goods from boxes and hangs them on the rails. That is why he does night shifts and funny hours when the store isn’t always open.

Going back to the message you sent Kikini, his reply! I love this, no mention about your poor Mum and asking how she is doing. It really is all about him and his flat 5-head isn’t it.

You're right. I've got a pal that works in merchandising in a large store. She gets sent diagrams and lists of product codes to use etc so her finished result should in theory look like that in any of the other stores in the chain. She too is adamant that it requires artistic flair. I love her to bits so I just let that pass, but really, her displays are proscribed. Nobody claims artistic flair putting a jigsaw puzzle together and to me its tantamount to the same thing 😄

I feel it in my water's that if Dezza brought home more bacon, Melvin would quit tomorrow to become a full time hoose husband!
