Mediocre AlleyJohn Lewis have been selling them as a pick and mix, single flavour boxes, and so Waitrose are a sister shop. You're right though, Quality Street isn't nice any longer and should have its name changed.

I don’t know why this has struck me so much in terms of like I’m getting older, the world and life is changing all the time.Catherine O’Hara has passed away today. Both of Kevin’s parent are no longer with us. Will make me feel slightly melancholy when I watch Home Alone this Christmas.

Seen a countdown today until the ‘ber’ months. Looking forward to Easter and love it’s more a big celebration now, but defo counting down through summer.
Love this. I’m not into pantos personally but love how much they represent Christmas for people.Me and the old dear go to most of the local pantos. But for years our tradition is to go the Glasgow King's Theatre on Boxing Day.
When I went to book boxing day 2025 in December 2024, I couldn't get the front row (I need this cos mum is frail and can't easily let people in and out of rows) we had to go on Saturday 27 December 2025.
So for boxing day 2026, I've had the seats booked since the beginning of December 2025.
But to get a decent seat for pantos for in December, you need to have these booked early. So far, I've got 3 pantos, Tony Hadley's Christmas Show, Christmas at the musicals, a Scottish Christmas celebration with Edie Reader and Matilda all booked for late November and December.
I'm also going to book Step Into Christmas cos they're on sale.
And then I wonder why I'm broke!!!
We went to the Christmas markets in Berlin in 2023 mid December and it was really nice. We went with our little boy who was 2 at the time. What I liked is you had the big markets but they also do smaller Christmas markets specialising in say food, crafts etc so when you need something slower paced you can go to one of those.Has anyone got any recommendations for a good Christmas market trip? We've done Lapland and I want another Christmassy adventureI am doing some research into Frankfurt as would love to go, I thought this would be the thread to ask.
Budapest is lovely even without any markets!Has anyone been to the Christmas markets in Budapest? I’ve seen cheap flights in December so tempted as I’ve never been to Hungary
We went in Easter and it’s our favourite city break we’ve done. At Easter they had lots of outdoor markets in several parts of the city so I imagine they’ll have nice Christmas markets.Has anyone been to the Christmas markets in Budapest?
