Two exciting Christmas things for me today!

- signed up for a new savings account which pays 7.1% gross monthly - I have moved my Christmas savings pot to there and should have an extra £70ish for Christmas this year :)

And if anyone wants a mega early bargain Home Bargains have this Disney playset at £19.99, it’s currently £50 on Amazon!

What’s the savings account? That rate is insane

It’s with the Biscuit account (Zopa). I have a credit card with them already and their service is really good so thought no harm in opening an account to take advantage! It’s a monthly saver - their regular savings accounts are 2.95%

I’m immediately going to google! 7.1% is honestly insane

Not sure who decided that mulled rosé wine needed to be a thing but the Waitrose one is incredibly sweet. Not unpleasant, per se, just an oddity.

I really wanted to try the M&S one last Christmas, but I left it too late and by the week before Christmas, it wasn't in stock anywhere near me. Well, according to the stock checker anyway, I didn't want it bad enough to be traipsing through several shops to find it on the off chance the online checker got it wrong 🤣

You're honestly not missing out. I didn't warm it through but it's such a mind duck. It looks like standard pink plonk, but tastes sweet and isn't quite right. Like a bottle of chicken wine with a cinnamon stick waved about it would be better.

Someone gave me a gingerbread flavoured kitkat. It was not good. It was weirdly horrible!

Mr Owl buys the mocha Kit Kats through choice. Weirdo. I have to check the drawer every time.
We have gingerbread chocolate digestives from Christmas, not sure if I’m intrigued or grossed out by the idea!

Love Christmas but don’t really like much ‘Christmas flavoured’ stuff. Except candles and diffusers 🤣

I am a big fan of both the mocha & the gingerbread kitkats! 😅

I got 4 packs of the gingerbread ones a couple of weeks ago when they were on clearance at Sainsbury's 🤣

Mocha kit kat sounds lush! I'm one of those strange people that miss all the coffee chocolates in the Christmas tins 😋

I once tried a wasabi KitKat from Japan, would not recommend 🤣

I tried the M&S mulled white, it was bloody awful! Warmed it and added a slcie of lemon and it was so rank, poured it away!

I love a coffee chocolate and thus bought the box of them alone from Quality Street in Waitrose. It's now mid January and I've still got most of them. Absolutely rotten.
Oh that's a shame. I didn't know Waitrose did them. But I found the green triangles this time tasted horrible. Quality Street are just not that nice anymore ☹

John Lewis have been selling them as a pick and mix, single flavour boxes, and so Waitrose are a sister shop. You're right though, Quality Street isn't nice any longer and should have its name changed.
