The thing that annoys me is that everything is so poorly thought out, but really her selfish actions just disgust me. Someone pointed out earlier, that she could've feasibly put all her things into one room if she put in an island. Also if she really want that much space, I would have taken the attic as her own filming/walk-in closet/office as it is big enough for all those things, and used one of the larger bedrooms as their master bedroom.
I also remember they said they want more than one child, are they going to get a 10-bedroom house for the second child? 1 child per 5 bedrooms?
Anyone else feel sorry for Amie, she seems so far gone. She seems like she used to be a normal, intelligent and relatively ambitious woman. Now, she seems to only get true happiness from buying bags. She gets so excited about bags but that excitement doesn’t seem to carry on to having a baby and getting a dog. I know her channel
Is a luxury channel but it’s just so sad that she thinks it’s okay to give her baby a tiny sad looking room whilst she sprawls all her purchases across two big ones.
This is why if you have a YouTube/Social Media career, you cannot base it around consumption. Social media has really rewired our lives and the majority use it to seek social validation. Some do it via experiences - travel, going out, activities, ect some do it through skills - art, makeup, sports, ect and the worst are the shopping ones - although those are the most widespread. Set environmental damage aside due to generating unnecessary waste from unrestricted consumption, additionally is your sense of your whole self is only measured by money.
We live in a society where our extrinsic values are tied to money, we go to school and learn skills so we pursue jobs that pay us for our work. But that is not all we are, and I acknowledge that work and our ability to earn money are a huge part of who we are, but that shouldn't be it. Amie and many of the luxury YouTubers seem to me to have their entire identity tied to bags or luxury products. No matter how much Chanel bags cost or will cost, my personhood is not measured by my ability to buy things.
