So this was a weird coincidence as I went to my usual Botox lady last night for an appointment after watching Cassy’s stories. I don’t live a million miles from her area and my practitioner is a GP who originally specialised in facial reconstruction plastics for the NHS, so is very highly trained in facial anatomy and physiology. She is campaigning right now for a change in the law for aesthetic treatments involving sharps to only be performed by medically trained practitioners - not level 3 beauticians even, as there is so much work she has had to correct recently from untrained people. I’m going to hope that Cassy doesn’t start doing these treatments as I don’t want my lady becoming booked up fixing her errors so I can’t book in!
Additionally my sister is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, which means she can prescribe drugs. She won’t even do any Botox or filler courses as she says even though she is medically trained she wouldn’t want the responsibility of people’s faces - and the cost of the courses to do it properly! And she could prescribe her own Botox etc so wouldn’t have to pay for that. Cassy will need to have a prescriber vouch for her and put their own professionalism on the line - it will be interesting who will do this? Additionally I live in a very small town and the market is absolutely flooded here with aesthetic practitioners - of all varying levels of dubious training and bargains/shoddy work right up to properly trained professionals. She will find it difficult to build a business with so much competition I think.

I've been doing Botox and dermal fillers for 3 years now and I'm not a medic BUT when I did my course, I trained with a medic (GP). We both got the exact same training and we both passed. I no longer offer Botox as it's a prescription only medicine and you have to get your prescriber in for EVERY new client who wants Botox. The prescriber then issues the prescription and the client comes back once you've got the Botox. It becomes a long old process and was hard getting the prescriber and client both in at the same time so I stopped offering Botox. Do you honestly think Cassy will do this for every client she has?? She will more than likely buy Botox off the black market knowing her!! I hope every prescriber within a 150 mile radius of Medway refuse to take her on as they then also become responsible if something should happen if she injects incorrectly.

I completely understand your point but at the same time, a GP/Dentist/nurse/paramedic don't truly understand Aesthetics. They are trained in medicine, whereas "beauticians" are trained in beauty and that forms part of the aesthetics side of things. A 57 year old GP who has been a GP for 30 years and has now decided to train in fillers/Botox isn't going to understand what looks aesthetically pleasing and what doesn't. Yes they will know how to inject and will be prepared in case of an emergency such as an occlusion but he won't really understand how to balance lips etc. I've had so many girls come to me after they've had their lips done by "a trained medic" with issues such as too much top lip filler, wonky bottom lip because they've injected too much on one side etc. I've even had one come in because too much filler was placed in the top lip which caused a crease above the lip. Yes medics can manage complications better but if you are trained properly and you practice safely then I personally think it's ok for non medics to practice aesthetic treatments. Don't shoot me

I've got two mates who both do Botox. One is not a trained nurse and one is. One is highly successful in the West London area and has clients travel from all over and the other struggles so much she hasn't been able to give up her full time nursing job yet. Why? Because one has studied and trained hard and has learnt her craft and the other one seems to think because she's a nurse that gives her the upper hand but she chats tit half the time I love her but I would go to the other girl over her because she oozes professionalism despite not being a nurse. And open with scent pack added.my best friend does scentsy she does give wax samples out and games which can win things like car air fresheners but buddies etc she takes order for and either delivered straight to you or ger in bulk.she never opens them if that is case.every month to stay active you need sell x amount of products its like does buying it herself to meet targets then trying to sell on.plus I have a buddy bought in April dont smell at all now waste of money

Does she even have a sink near where she does them? A kitchen sink wont pass! Plus it needs to be on a clear run so no doors en route from the sink so toilet sinks are a no too! She would fail it! Has she sorted sharps bins and collections? That wouldn't have been sorted soon as she started doing it either as they are just as a pain in the arse to sort out too!
