Unpopular opinion but I actually really like the sleeping beauty dress! I think it's super cute and I always get annoyed when people say I can't show cleavage- they're just boobs.

That being said, the reel was annoying lol
I like it too! She looks so pretty!! (When she isnt pulling a silly face tbh)

Jokes about people being in an alw show are fine.

It's her entrance saying 'did someone say my name' and having her henchmen being so so anti Lloyd webber are just too niche for most to get
she's killed her career that's for sure. No-one will touch her with a barge pole after this. Her and Baby-Owl Wantospew will have to go up north and run a theatre company. After a while of that she'll be (more) bitter and start every sentence with "back when I was on the west end"

So Carrie’s character is officially called Carrie-Bosse now and apparently her two sidekicks are called Lloyd/Lord and Webber… Let it go already.
Seriously? That's so pathetic and petty. She's doing a swell job at keeping things professional and not buring those bridges /s

I thought the same…Like what’s the point in answering with such a nothing answer lol.

Or just say “We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving but I’m looking forward to X at Christmas”
.
An interesting answer would have been tacking on a bit about Thanksgiving dishes you'd like to try. Like I'm fascinated by the concept of a sweet potato and marshmallow casserole served as a side dish - sounds appalling but 100% would try!

This benefit of having two names thing just smacks of her already trying to disassociate from what is his. She wants to be married, but doesn't want to admit it will be to him. She may as well go the whole hog and have a boyfriend on her Fletcher side.

You mean you can to to America and not visit Disney??

Also, serious question for the group: if Oliver proposed to Alessia in New York, would we think they were as crazy as Carrie and Joel (having been together max 8/9 months), or is the craziest thing about Carrie and Joel the "show" of it all?? Also of course Oliver was the dumper as opposed to the dumpee, so potentially over the relationship quicker.
I don't think the two couples are even remotely comparable.

Oliver and Alessia knew each other from at least BTTF musical rehearsals (2019 maybe?). Maybe they'd even known each other prior to that. They'd worked alongside each other. They probably hung out together backstage in between shows/rehearsals (platonically, I'm not suggesting any kind of inappropriate behaviour). But they had time to build a friendship before entering into a relationship.

Joel had been jumping in an out of Carrie's DMs and Carrie ignored him for 8 years. And they once talked. A long time ago. And she drunk texted him for a date. 3 days later they're an item.

So it's absolutely weird that Joel and Carrie are engaged after 5 months.
Oliver and Alessia getting engaged after 8-9 months would not be weird IMO because they have a 3 year foundation behind that relationship.

I despise everyone that tries to make a living by talking bullshit in front of a camera, I don't care how much time and effort is involved into editing (which is what they always say to cover their ass). I have an AdBlock (for the few videos that I do watch) and have never bought any brand endorsed by an influencer. If it were for me, they'd starve and have to get a real job.

I've been disgusted when hearing a few younger folks from my own family (pre-teens) that want to be an influencer. Sometimes it does feel like some of the younger folks raised with social media and lately tik tok really don't have a grasp on reality and instead live in a fantasy world. Carrie is like those people, even if she's my generation lol. 😂😂
I think influencers are the worst thing to come out of social media
I've never bought an influencer-endorsed brand either

I think the family channels are the worst - exploiting young kids who haven't consented to being plastered all over the internet

But I digress 😅

Having seen the frankly unintentionally hilarious Harry and meghan documentary trailer, how long before we see overly contrived black and white photo montages of Carrie and Joel 'plunged into happiness' , them against the world etc
Omg interview with Oprah incoming. Instead of where you silent or silenced, she could ask “was the engagement leaked or were you leaking”

btw I don’t care about the royals or Harry and Meghan, no one shout at me

I think it very much depends. If you have specialist knowledge on a subject and what you promote you genuinely believe in/use and is relevant to your niche then I have no issue. All about authenticity. No worse, and in some ways better, than just the random ads you get on tv.

However if you're just gonna sit on a sofa and pose and pout selling any old thing then nope.

I think it would have been ok to include something about how people in the entertainment industry also work long hours if she did it once or twice, but she does it so often and in a lecture-y way, and it gets annoying. I absolutely agree the job requires a lot of work and I respect people in the entertainment industry, but it's just the way she talks about it and phrases herself that comes across as quite entitled.

She got very annoyed during the pandemic when she bought into ALW's complaints about how the theatre industry wasn't appreciated by the government (which isn't untrue, but ALW has soo much money he shouldn't complain, and it was so much worse for freelance singers/actors/tech who don't have automatic connections or parents with money, etc.). So I don't think she's gotten any complaints from people recently, I think she just has grievances from her whole career/especially the pandemic, and that's why she keeps bringing it up.
It’s just aimed at us again (she just can’t stop reading this thread, though if it was about me I would feel the same).

Actors are incredible I work with a lot of them, however she is not where she wants to be right now career wise or relationship wise etc. She loves to get on her high horse to fans because bless ‘em most of them are young and have no idea what the industry is like.

She has to face her first Christmas without Oliver, her future husband is very intense and clingy, her ex is off to New York with his super confident/sexy gf, she is stuck doing a boring Panto job, her first big leading West End role ended in a shambles and she was not asked to originate the role on Broadway, her best friend is on Netflix and her book/tour is not selling well…..not the best year

The other option is hard-core fans pretend to be from far away to get noticed

I'm always sceptical when I see minor celebs post about people travelling half way around the world to see them, especially young ones who likely won't have the income

Then you have Alessia performing as one of the leads in Back to the future a massive West End show, as I believe she understudies the role of Jen and is on for that character this week…

Oh Carrie my love, a nasty cold, a clingy fiancé, tired old puns in your current show about your failed show - then your ex is planning his first romantic trip away with his gf who is smashing it in the West End…. What a week for you
This isn’t his first romantic trip away with her though is it? Didn’t they go too Paris together a few months after the breakup? And they’ve went on several trips together since then?! Also, why are we even still bringing Oliver and his new gf into this? The breakup was almost 11 months ago, that’s great their successful and happy, let them be. Him and Carrie have been done for almost a year and I highly doubt they even care about the asscrack twins, Carrie and Joel’s relationship is a dumpster fire and embarrassing.

Hahaha tell me Carrie has been reading her Tattle threads without telling me that Carrie has been reading her Tattle threads...😂🤦😂 Hello Carrie 👀👋 I guess she has a lot of time to kill in her dressing room in-between the three shows on Saturdays so we need to keep her entertained and she is off on Sundays with Joel so she needs all the distractions she can use to avoid talking to him 😂🤡😂
Honestly I reckon this is exactly it. Her IG stories the past few days are giving a really bored vibe. Maybe she wants to rouse back up some criticism and get these threads moving again haha. Or shake up some trolls in her IG comments so she can make another ‘waaaaah why r ppl sooOoo mean online’ and get another 60k likes and tons of blue ticks giving her sympathy and attention?

Perhaps the engagement novelty has worn off so she’s trying to remind herself of more exciting times with Joel? Also she went into way excessive detail in that caption so it feels like a bit of a dig at her past relationship too. It’s just such a random thing to post about in general. Is their relationship that boring that she has to wax lyrical about a trip that she already posted about in such excessive detail while it was happening? Especially when it was only like 6 months ago.

Back on GG we suspected that there was something going on between her and Oliver because they were not subtle at all, plus her demeaning behavior towards Pete and her fawning over Oliver (she thanked him in one of her books she wrote while still with Pete). And Carrie, because at the time she already read the threads (and had participated), knew about the cheating speculation. So months after the fact she announced the breakup with Pete, first claiming that it was all amicably. When the talks about her and Oliver didn’t die down and right in the middle of the Me Too revelations, Carrie decided to drop that she too had been in an abusive relationship. Which then caused the uproar against Pete and nobody asked about Oliver anymore (ok, we still did lol).
Their entire official timeline, just like Carrie and Joel‘s in the beginning, was an attempt to control the narrative and deflect from the fact that they had both cheated on their partners. That’s all that was. But as expected Carrie contradicted herself and the timeline changed.

Just switching track slightly. I know it’s not exactly new information that there was an Oliver/Pete cross over but I found some Instagram posts that confirm it. Forgive me if this has been posted before, I couldn’t resist sharing heheheeee. Check the dates/months of the posts!

Carrie makes a general boyfriend reference to Pete on March 7th, Oliver posted that their anniversary was March 8th.

Yes! I'm sure 90% of the audience felt alienated. Imagine turning up to a panto with the kids and grandparents and it's just niche industry jokes that totally go over everyone's heads.
it's pretentious as fuck. i'm in the industry and gives me the ick. also carrie would have had a say surely - it's just so very bitter.
