My boyfriend works in a bookshop and when I showed him the screenshot he said that she shouldn't have done that and if it had been at his bookshop she would have been forced to pay for the 'damage' done to the book as it is technically damaging the book or at least it's classed as damage.

Is it also considered damage when Neil Gaiman does it? Cause he does it a lot. And John Green, I think?

For someone who's so terrified of "getting in trouble" I find it baffling that she'd just open up one of her books and sign it, just because you're the author doesn't give you the right to just scribble in all your books does it? It doesn't even inherently up the value of it. Also, can you imagine how embarrassing that would feel? "I wrote this book, I get to bless this airport bookshop with my signature Did I remind everyone I'm an author again?"

Exactly this is true. You don't see other authors running around all the book shops signing their books.

Tom's spoken before about how his parents would take them to their grandparents house while they worked extra hours. (I think this was in mcflys autobiography) It seems that they were doing what they could to give their kids the best opportunities so it could be like someone here said where the parents themselves didn't come from money but did what they could to ensure their kids wouldn't have that problem so the lifestyle tom and carrie had wasn't necessarily a working class one.

When it comes down to it it's all about the job you get and it's not always as straightforward as being working class or not. Some people with no qualifications might end up in a high paying job (eg Carrie with her multiple streams of income)

Carrie is so strange to me. She's shown herself to be someone who cares about scrubbing an ex off of her social media (like, I know people who don't block / delete all photos of an ex, everyone's relationship with social media is different). Yet she will plaster Joe(l) PDA all over the internet after 8 weeks together

I’m kinda glad Goyle is doing his Cameos in costume. He needs something to occupy the vast amounts of time he’s not on stage whilst at the theatre.

She’s also not wearing much makeup either and when she was in Disney and she posted a pic without her glasses or much make up on a lot of people on here said how pretty she looked, so maybe she read it and liked the compliments?!

Now you have me worried that Joe "likes her better without all that stuff" and she goes without makeup and glasses for him. She has said several times how much she loves makeup.

How does one learn to read music? I mean this genuinely as I am interested.

Is it something you could learn online yourself? Given all the free time Carrie had during Covid you would think its the ideal time to do something like that...even with a music teacher online.

Also what is Carrie's reputation like in MT?

I remember learning to read music when I had piano lessons when I was 9-10. That was pretty basic stuff and I couldn't read it now, but I'm pretty sure Carrie could pick it up easily.
I reckon there are loads of tutorials online and she surely has enough contacts in the performing arts industry if she wanted face-to-face lessons.
She just doesn't want to admit that she isn't top of her game in her field and there is always room to learn and improve.

I think Carrie genuinely believes she’s working class. Without getting into politics, it’s like when some of them have the “well I worked hard and I‘m rich, anyone can do it” and they forget their parents had a spare 20k a year to send them to private school. Some of them actually believe they’ve struggled. Carrie honestly believes her parents having to save for Disneyland puts her in the same bracket as kids whose parents worked 3 jobs to take their kids to Butlins. I think she’s just ignorant more than actually malicious.


Side note- I quite like Ollie after that post. He’s having his opinion out there without being explicitly directed at her.

I agree with this. It could even be that she has grown up with her parents saying that they (her parents) are working class (I don't know their backgrounds at all, so a complete speculation) and she doesn't realise that her and Tom were not working class
