Yes they doDo people buy used skincare items? I wouldn’t buy anything that had been opened, especially not in the middle of a pandemic but maybe I'm being overly cautious.

This is pricelessTell me you guys saw the comments on that silk mask post.. what the hell is wrong with people?!
Sorry I thought it had been deleted but I’ve found the post now and the comments. I’ve scribbled out their details but let’s just say the blue commenter is part of the group “clique” which is why the comments have only been turned off rather than the post deleted!
Yeah this is on the freaks Facebook group. Someone posted asking about silk masks and if they were any good then that person started being an a in the comments. Weird culture in the group, no idea why the commenter would think it’s acceptable to speak to another member like that!Im so confused! What’s the silk mask post all about? Is this on the Facebook group?
Ah! An Yves Rocher counter lady circa 1984. An unusual reference point, but she’s got it down to the last detail.
I still don’t know what clearpay is - is it just an alternative to PayPal?Does Clearpay not go against this?
No, it's a buy now, pay later scheme (that doesn't even require a credit check) - so seems to contradict her old advice of never buying skincare on credit.I still don’t know what clearpay is - is it just an alternative to PayPal?
You know you can just Google the word and it tells youI still don’t know what clearpay is - is it just an alternative to PayPal?
Thanks for the info. That’s really bad. I can’t believe she’s endorsing buying on credit, after everything she used to say about it. So presumably the message now is, don’t buy skincare on credit unless it’s putting money in that greedy fucker’s pockets. Unbelievable. What a hypocrite. No, it's a buy now, pay later scheme (that doesn't even require a credit check) - so seems to contradict her old advice of never buying skincare on credit.
ETA more info here for anyone unaware of these schemes: https://www.which.co.uk/news/2020/0...na-clearpay-or-laybuy-hurt-your-credit-score/
I know, I’m just being a lazy cow today! Let me have this oneYou know you can just Google the word and it tells you? It encourages people who can't afford things to buy now, pay later.
Yep, it's offered most places now including Asos, Boohoo, etc, there's been stories of students getting into debt and damaging their credit scores this way. I don't understand why it's legal. Thanks for the info. That’s really bad. I can’t believe she’s endorsing buying on credit, after everything she used to say about it. ETA and you don’t even need a credit check, so people who maybe shouldn’t even be thinking about getting stuff on credit in the first place can buy things this way? Rotten.
I think it's encouraging people on her groups to buy a fk ton of product that they don't need, can't get through and can't afford. Just scrolled and there is someone proudly displaying what looks like every single product a brand could make. On so many levels my question is whyyyyyyThanks for the info. That’s really bad. I think she did say that's what it is.I bought her book and it’s basically her blog in paper form. On eBay it goes!
I must have missed her saying that. Just a warning for others who may think it’s original material. Seems a bit sly, IMOI think she did say that's what it is.
