No, but once her boyfriend withdrew the allegations I really don't think it should have been pursued. Not in the public interest. I'm so glad that when it happened to me I was allowed to withdraw my statement. It would have opened a whole can of worms for me
It’s all very murky isn’t it though and there are lots of ‘yes but what ifs’.

For example, yes but what if they’d retraced it all after he said he didn’t want to press charges and she said she wasn’t guilty, but then there was another incident where she did actually kill him? Or he left her and she did it to someone else? Sounds drastic I know and I’m not trying to say that would have happened or that she was necessarily capable of murder, but what would have happened if that did happen? CPS would have had his blood on their hands then wouldn’t they for not prosecuting a more minor assault? And then the media/social media storm would have been even worse.

I’m just saying, what happened, happened. There could have been a number of different scenarios if things had happened even slightly differently. Doesn’t take away the fact that it’s just all really sad though 😕

Her ex did say she threatened to kill herself if he left her. She may very well of been self harming as lots of people have said the blood was her own. The crown prosecution service will have known all of this and done what they thought is best. She was a danger to herself and people around her, but not enough to get sectioned as that's a very high bar.
She used her boyfriends finger when he was asleep to unlock his phone and found messages from other girls that distressed her, allegedly, then hit him with a lamp and he called 999 saying he feared for his life. It's all so tragic, but mental health is a huge killer and non celebs really struggle with how underfunded the NHS is.

I'm not sure why I keep thinking about Paula Yates alongside Caroline Flack tonight. Amost the same age when they died. Both troubled souls but hopeless romantics. So sad.

I have to say the general levels of virtue signalling by people jumping on the bandwagon is truly eye roll inducing. The celebrities who were so publicly quiet when the shit hot the fan who are shamelessly posting a photo of themselves with her in happier times and talking about what a beautiful soul she was? Do one. Why didnt you speak up when it would have actually made a difference?! And then there's a whole load of people referencing her when posting completely unrelated images. Two interiors accounts that I follow on instagram who I actually like have posted "omg so sad about Caroline" type posts...with accompanying immaculate photos of their show home-esque houses. WTAF?! One of those include the hash tags hincharmy, imahincher and ifyouknowyouknow. Seriously!!! Unfollowed...

(Please don’t take this like I am asking for attention or making it about myself because that’s not my intention, I’m just using myself as an example)

I tried to commit suicide when I was 15. In that moment you make sure you’re alone and that people won’t find you until it’s too late.
I did a night where my mum was out and my dad went out to the pub.
I ended up not taking enough pills to kill me just enough to make me pass out and then throw up later on.

It doesn’t matter really how many people reach out or talk to you in that moment as you still feel alone and hated and worthless. Even to this day (10 years later), I contemplate suicide and struggle day in day out. I’ve reached out for help many a time from professionals and friends and family. Some care but they don’t know what to do.

But I guarantee to you more people care once you’re gone than care to support you whilst your alive.

The things that Caroline Flack has been through recently and previously are awful and no one should suffer this way.

I’ve read the article posted by the moderators of this site and to be honest they’ve hit the nail on the head. Brilliant piece. These influencers will take advantage of anything they can for a bit of money or a freebie.

May I add to those saying “she was drunk” “it was a one off” to the abuse, that she had a NDA for her former fiancé Andrew Brady and he also hinted she abused him!!!!! She was NOT a saint

The fact that the cps were still pushing forward with the case despite the boyfriends reluctance to press charges shows there was more than enough evidence to prosecute. All these people talking about ITV leaving her out to dry but what would the response be if Love Island and ITV had turned a blind eye to it? And where was their outrage when she lost her job at the time? Fact is, she was done for domestic violence and the fact that she’s a woman doesn’t mean shit. Stephanie Davis and Malin Anderson coming out all guns blazing and yet these are the same women who were also in abusive relationships and have posted photos of their injuries. The likes of Michael Barrymore didn’t get to keep their job, why should Caroline Flack? It’s devastating that she felt that desperate she would take her own life but all these celebs posting photos and spouting about what a kind soul she was, where were they in her darkest hour? No doubt distancing themselves from the negative media surrounding her court case.

I feel bad for her friends and family. Yes, she had her issues and I assume was more than likely going to get to prison, but I always feel bad about people feeling suicide is the only out. (This isn't me condoning her abuse at all though)

I can't deal with Dan Wootton suddenly saying how lovely she is on Twitter and The S*n deleting half their articles about her.

I hope her boyfriend especially doesn't blame himself for this. I know he dropped the charges (I don't know if that was his own decision or not, or if he felt he had to...) and he still seemed to love her a lot, so I really hope he has a good support network at this time.
Don’t even get me started on that Wooton pig. He’s the most manipulative piece of shit I have ever come across. He’s vile

Honestly some of these comments are so upsetting. Have you ever been in that situation? In that place where you genuinely feel like you have no other option? Crying, numb, frightened, yet pumping with something. It’s a very dark place to be. I don’t mean a down day, I mean soul destroying, heart wrenching pain. Physically and mentally exhausted. All you can think of doing is wanting to die.
I’ve been there. I’ve been to the fucking pits but I was found. My sister found me in time. If she hadn’t of come round that night to unexpectedly check on me, I wouldn’t be here. It is hell. Coming back from that is hell when you were convinced you were finally gonna end it all. That doesn’t make me a coward for it being a suicide attempt, not an actual suicide.
it hurts like hell. I’ve fought my mind so many times without people knowing. I’ve put on that front and convinced everyone I was ok. You’ve no idea of the pain and isolation you feel. Alone and better for everyone else if you’re not here anymore.
People are shocked. People are well within their right to pay their respects. You’ve no idea the reasons behind the post, the relationships they had, the memories shared. I’ve had someone to close to me pass away and sometimes I’ve wanted the reassurance and kind words from people around me. People live their lives on social media. Why can’t they show this too? This is real life, this shit still fucking happens and I think so much awareness should be raised about it. There is still so much stigma around it and people have no idea how complex it actually is.
People need to know that support is there, even if it is just to talk. Sometimes that one message can make a whole lot of difference.
Continued awareness and massive education on mental health illnesses is still desperately needed. I would never call anyone a coward for taking their life. Infact the opposite. Can you imagine how scared, lonely and in pain they must be to get to that dark place where they see no other way forward and are about to take their lives? Possibly the bravest action to end your own life. I just wish them final peace from their pain with no judgement.

I just watched a video on Steph Davis Instagram and even she says the blood in that photo was Carolines, and she knew her. She seems devestated in the video 😢
Its shocked me how a victim of domestic abuse can stick up for a perpetrator saying it was all a "mistake" on her part

Stephanie Ehhhhm Davis, “using her platform to gain awareness for Caroline” - more like Stephanie Ehhhhm Davis using Caroline’s death to gain a bigger social platform. Ehhhhhm greedy, self serving narcissist.
She's feasting on it all and loving the attention. Why does she say she's going to parliament? She's dreaming of the press she'll get going to Westminster and all the interviews she's booking thanks to this. Horrible women.

What I want to ask is, are these people she’s been in relationships with been in abuse relationships before? Because i find it hard to believe that she’s just got into relationships with abusive men. Which makes me think she must have had a dark side to her. There must also be a reason her relationships never lasted. I think, again this is my opinion, she loved hard and fast and got swept up in the romance and then struggled with her emotions when she got angry or felt vulnerable. I think she was very insecure. Again just my opinion.
In my opinion some of those who are vulnerable get caught up in the same relationships time and time again because that’s all they have ever known and in a weird way, it acts like a comfort blanket. Control also plays a big part. You see it happen all the time especially when you see someone that’s finished a relationship with someone for being too nice, it’s like they can’t handle normality which, for a lot of people in the public eye, life is far from the norm

The first post on this thread says to go easy on Caroline’s family. I suggest you go have a read and then read it again.
People who are saying that her family didn’t do anything should be ashamed of themselves. How do they bloody know that they didn’t?!

I know. It is horrendous. And seeing one social media the way some people who were meant to be her friends using this to somehow benefit themselves is absolutely disgusting, the pt is basically selling his services through this. Stephanie Davis May want to help but doing public interviews etc? I wonder what her sister with children thinks of all of that. It’s awful.
Don't get me started on Steph Davis. I'm biting my tongue like crazy here.
Quite frankly she is revelling in this ... not in the death of course, but in comparing Caroline's mental health to hers and basically whining for attention on the back of this. She's a hypocritical idiot and had she ever addressed her own similar issues when they were at their peak and making lurid headlines she might be in a better place and more able to care for her child. She's another one (I'm not including CF on this) who thinks nothing is ever her fault and can't see she's the common denominator in all her car crash relationships.

In the statement released by the family solicitor I think, it said she had received the news just hours before killing herself that the trial would be going ahead.

Which again makes me think what was coming out?
my thoughts exactly

I personally detest the term ‘battle ‘ whether it be cancer or mh. I say this from my own experience of having had 4 cancers, 3 different types and have had varying mh issues from being a teen onwards at different times . Cancer to me is more likened to a terrorist than a face on battle, it like mh, attacks you , your healing from cancer comes about due to so many variants such as stage of diagnosis, tolerance to chemotherapy , drugs , radiotherapy, whether it has spread to vital organs, whether surgery is successful. It’s the same with healing your own mh, so many variants although a lot harder to access many treatments, a lot of people are unsupported by family and friends ( know this one only too well )

My loved ones who have died from cancer didn’t lose a battle, they tried the best they could to stay alive just like my friends whose lives ended due to their mh, it’s not being weak, it’s not losing a battle, it’s so much more .

My heart goes out to those that loved Caroline, its Evident that her issues ran a lot deeper than what we have been privy too .

It's so sad to hear about the death of Caroline Flack. But what is really pissing me off is everyone sharing the sad pictures and making big declarations of 'be kind' and spouting all the rubbish. I'm sat there reading some and I'm thinking no Lyndsey, you will continue not to smile at or say hello to people, you will still never ask or take a genuine interest in how people are. You will continue to complain about small and petty things that triggers people anxiety. You will continue to be a hypocrite and jumping on the band wagon wont change that. It is incredibly sad but lots of people contribute to peoples anxiety and depression everyday and they dont care, a famous person commits suicide and they are so so sorry but with no thought for how they make people feel daily. Lyndsey you will continue to be a bitch, so will everyone else I know who is spouting 'be kind'.
Yes!!!! I saw a post yesterday about being kind from the girl that tried to split my friend and husbands relationship up. Home wrecker tendencies yet you be kind Susan 🤦🏼‍♀️

Olly Murs has paid a loving tribute.
Lewis has posted as well. I hope someone has a close eye on him because we’ve seen this play out before when Sophie Gradon passed away

Itv news about CF. I'm disgusted that two quotes from celebrities, one from bloody Philip schofield and the other ant & Dec. The two biggest cover ups in ITV. 🙄
Yes and look how ITV protected them and yet seemed to have turned their back on Caroline instantly. I think ITV should be ashamed of themselves
