I think the young royals is part of it but Busy has said before that Birdie doesn’t feel safe at school in the US, I’m presuming because of the school shootings (understandable and heartbreaking) but also because she’s QwEer and apparently a target because of that, even though all teenagers seem to be queer these days, esp in a nyc school. I bet admits to being straight there, how uncool!

Kind of weird to go go a boarding school in a country where you don't speak the language though.

Also Busy is posting loads of baby pictures of Birdie today. And saying how young she was when Birdie was little. She was 29 when she had her. Hardly a young parent.

I randomly remembered the other day how Kelly and Jenny Lewis were besties, I think along with Busy too, and would often post about how they were neighbours etc. And then one day they never mentioned one another again, unfollowed each other, and never spoke of it again!!!

That's embarassing, but thankfully Busy didn't make that much of a big deal of it. If you're familiar with Gabrielle Union and her husband Dwyane Wade, they've both been pushing Wade's son (now daughter)'s transgender transition... got them on a pride float at like 12, now at 14/15 they are modelling (as a girl) on magazines etc. They are currently embroiled in a very public lawsuit with the child's biological mother who doesn't want to co-sign legally changing their gender and name because the mom thinks the dad and stepmom (Gabrielle) are pushing this transition for monetary gain (the kid needs both parents consent since they're still under 18) It's messy, and imagine that poor child wakes up one day and says maybe I'm just an effeminate gay male and I'll keep my pronouns and gender as is... that's a lot for them to 'backtrack' on.

God they need to get a life. Sounds like Birdie is over that phase and everyone should let her mother be about it. The fact Busy wants to be besties with her teenager is her problem.

Haha I had the same thought...I'm guessing divorce incoming? She had a story up but it was soooo... I couldn't watch it.

I was under the impression that Busy was not down with Birdie becoming non-binary but because she loves her child and has alluded that Birdie has had a hard time the last few years she has gone all in to show them they are supported. She is annoying but it does seem with the move to New York she has really lost herself, she was losing it a little bit in LA but she still seemed happyish. Also, I can’t believe this, but I miss her going to Lekfit everyday, doing it at home is not the same.

Nah, they broke up a few months ago and then Kelly wrote a newsletter basically suggesting that while he had moved on and was dating a new woman, he was still telling Kelly that she was the love of his life...!? She essentially accused him of cheating on his new partner. I don't know; it's messy and now she's "queer" and dates women. Like I said, I had to unfollow as it was LITERALLY desperate and so unbearably cringe.

Sorry if already discussed as new to the thread, but I quite liked Busy from her roles in Freaks and Geeks and Cougar Town. I listen to a podcast called Celebrity Memoir Book Club and they covered Busy’s book and I’ve not actually listened to that episode, but apparently Busy is saying that the hosts of the podcast led her daughter to know that her parents were separating / not happy because her daughter found the podcast episode. On her own podcast Busy is making fun of the hosts and being quite bitchy by mocking the hosts… god it all seems to much to get upset over people discussing something she wrote herself??!!

I tapped in to her stories and she was crying because she didn’t know where to get the Gucci luggage Harry Styles had. Is this supposed to make her relatable because I just thought she looked spoiled and needed to get a grip.

I listened to that the other day as I don’t mind Fearne Cotton. Busy talks a million miles an hour, goes off on tangents and says “like” in every sentence. I had to switch off.

I just looked on her page and initially thought she must be coming out as non binary herself. Her fans (who are these people??) were commenting saying they were worried about her. It does seem alarming when you see what she’s saying on those posts. I think some people thought she’d taken her own life it is all very dramatic. We’re all struggling with life Busy, just get on with living, like the rest of us.
