Someone on here had been reading "People Like Her" by Ellery Lloyd, I finally got round to reading it and it's chilling! All based around how influencers on instagram portray their lives and the dangers of oversharing especially when it comes to your kids. The ending really shows some true narcissistic behaviour too. Really would recommend in case anyone is looking for their next read. Should come with a Trigger Warning for miscarriage and baby loss.

That was me. It’s scary and eye opening. I would never want this life she (Emma) has - and all just for the sake of some free stuff, really. I feel like anyone in this job has got some sort of illness that needs working through. I’d honestly rather just go to a proper job and earn my money the normal way. Especially as well, the amount of stuff I know about the Conway family is unbelievable.

She posts pictures of her home and pretends that people can’t find where she lives but most people already know. Its Not hard to find. They can figure out where the kids go to school and everything. It’s incredibly scary.

It must be some sort of an addiction - the likes and the attention. She has to be very unhappy in her everyday life in order to not want to give up her ‘fans’ just for the sake of her family’s safety. I guess she needs them. How very sad for her children. She puts her fame before their safety

I've read that. It was very good, and a scarily accurate portrayal of the Instabeggar world!

Just downloaded it. Tonights reading!
I read that after it was mentioned here. It’s one of those books you race through as you need to know how it’s going to end. The bit about the mummy bloggers being desperate to make it onto mainstream TV as presenters still rings so true.

Looked at her latest video thingy and something struck me that I’ve thought for a while Erin looks exactly like her grandmother and Ethan looks like baboon … oh and do much for not posting on Sunday’s anymore 🙄🙄

I just think every instagrammers child who is pushed forward on their feed no matter how nice the instagrammer they are storing up real problems for them in later life

There's a facial smugness gene in that family

Just downloaded that book thanks ladies 👍🏼
also very tempted to download the book, based on the recommendations from you cowbags! 🐮💕

tbh, that recent panorama program was pretty eye opening, and definitely one babs should prioritise watching. obvs she won't, because HER priority is keeping up-to-date on the lives of pregnant teens! the problem is she doesn't seem to care that her kids' photos are plastered all over porn sites, because sharing every intimate detail of their lives - swimming costume photos, the contents of their underwear drawers etc etc - results in likes and comments, which boost her ego AND engagement, which then results in more ads, which results in more money - and after all, that's her prime priority. there is a fair amount of easily accessible information about the dangers of not protecting your kids online, yet babs is pointedly not reading them literally because she values attention and praise and cash wayyyy above the safety of her kids, and so. avoids reading anything about the risks she is subjected her kids to, because she doesn't want to deal with any pressure to change her damaging behaviour. 😔
