Just wanted to say this doesn't sound stupid at all and everyone needs an escape sometimes x
Thank you lovely x

I never understood why she moans about having the children home. Yes sometimes it is hard work, and you do feel like you are pulling your hair out BUT I love it when the kids are home, relaxing, baking, colouring, going for walks, daytrips, picnic in the park. The skies the limit.

Wanna bet that Babs will make a story tonight because she needs to vent her disappointed over schools not opening.

She's allowed her bitter and twisted side to take centre stage. It wasn't like that at the beginning of her online attention seeking career
If she was a teacher still she’d be pulling the other one saying there’s no way they can maintain social distancing let alone the deep clean that is expected, there’s no way if she was still a teacher she would be going back in

Safe to say she'd milk any scenario she was in for all it's worth.

Still duck it up and hide offline for a few days...

Yes the Facebook video I've seen,,,,,, I'll be amazed if her Disney trip really was paid for though as I've watched all of her Disney holiday vlogs and not one does she mention anything about it being an Ad or gifted, unlike others have like Jade Billingham. I'm sure she said she works for Disney for free though 🤷‍♀️ which is basically not working for them at all then, is it!!?
I had a quick look for that video earlier where she says it was paid for by Disney but didn't want to give her loads of views trying to find it 🤣. Put her videos in order of oldest first though and scroll through the thumbnails - not a crinkly nose smile in sight!! She looks so much nicer in those early ones before her ego exploded

on the topic of babs being scared of what to say!

My best friend runs a mildly successful makeup Instagram, and all week she hasn’t posted her own looks, but rather shared resources and accounts from blm, without sharing her own voice, because it’s not as relevant right now (she’s white). She wasn’t scared of losing followers, she just knew that she had to do what was right at the time, and highlight something important. Now she is slowing transitioning back to make up, but making it clear that she will continue to educate herself on blm and how to be anti racist in general, while posting her original content.

how is it that a 21 year old who doesn’t do Instagram for a living knows more on how to deal with these times than babs?

Me too. I have a blog/Instagram for a particular hobby of mine (no money , just a genuine hobby) and I've been sharing information and POC accounts who also are involved in said hobby (trying not to doxx myself here 🤣) it's so interesting that SO many mum influencers have been caught out. It's literally the easiest thing in the world to not be racist 😬 easier than cooking a beige roast dinner...

And let's not forget, Brummy has both an assistant and "representation" as well as apparently (although I worry for the standards of whichever school it was) a past life as a teacher and head of department.

She's protecting her brand and her ads by going offline now. Nothing else.

What was that strange poster that the girl is holding. First of all 'everyone' is one word Babs, but 'treat every one equally', equally what? Equally bad, equally racist, equally dumb, hoodwink everyone equally, scam everyone equally, blame everyone equally...

But hang on. Isn't her son 'different' according to the pamphlet. It is ok to be different according to the pamphlet, but also in the quest to be normal yet unique and accepted and equal we have to first vocalise and point the finger at someone who is different. How can we treat everyone equally (something) if what they want is to be treated differently, take you Babs for example, you want your son to be treated differently or else if he's the same and treated the same you're not satisfied that he is special enough to be worthy of your time and attention. Oooh but by different you meant not different, you just wanted to write a poem about your son because you had so many about the girl it wasn't equal. Treat your kids equally by writing offensive poems about them. Be a bad parent to each of your kids equally.

Someone’s just posted on the Louise Pentland thread a qn that was asked on Twitter to
Emma and Louise and only Emma replied at 6am a couple of day’s ago so it’s a load of rubbish she’s offline. She’s probably on it just as much but not posting as she can’t be bothered. Meldrums gone as well. Drives me mad these entitled, weak willed women who cannot take it when everyone isn’t blowing smoke up their backsides. Seriously lost some touch with reality and what’s normal. But the pull of the easy £££ is just too much. And it must be easy money because if it was harder than a normal job, they’d do a normal job.

No that’s not on Louise’s thread! I posted it on this thread (see above) but it’s the same day she announced she was coming offline.

Why would people want to pay someone to advertise their product when they're so reliable that they just take a week off whenever they want with no warning. She may not have any ad commitments this week but how does she know her followers won't decrease. If a brand has paid for an 'influencer' because of how many followers and how much engagement they offer, how can they work with somebody that is willing to put all of that at risk. It is so unprofessional and not good for relationships

Going a bit further back in the thread here but I had a bit of a lightbulb moment today. A girl I work with is muslim and wears a hijab/burqa (with a full face covering). We ended up having a discussion about if it felt any different to wearing a face mask (FYI, face masks are apparently worse to wear). This brought the question to my mind - Didn't Emma say she specialised in Islam/Mulsims when she was an RE teacher? If so, why does she feel weird about people wearing masks and not being able to see their mouths? Surely she may be slightly more acoustomized to it than the rest of us who have only encountered a few muslim people who wear burqas or other face coverings and haven't done any research into the religion? Or does she also feel weird about people who choose to wear hijabs/burqas that cover their faces? Could it be more proof of her racisim? Or do we think she made up the fact that she thinks people wearing face masks are scary to be #re.late.a.ble

Maybe I'm reading into it too much but it made me go 'Oh' out loud when I thought about it earlier. I've never felt weird about people wearing face masks simply because I've seen many people wear them in hospitals and at work and been around a couple of people who choose to wear face coverings for religious reasons.

We see a lot of people wearing face masks walking up and down the road and obviously in our local supermarket😷. At first it felt very strange, now I look to see what make the masks are, the designs and how people are wearing them as it seems like we are all now being encouraged to wear them- 3 months on 🙄!
We have actively been talking about why people wear masks to our young children which came in very handy when my youngest had to get jabs from the nurse last week. He wasn't weary at all as we had kind of normalised the masks.

Babs was either just talking about it for engagement as she had nothing else to talk about or because she had hardly been out, what was becoming the norm for the likes of us in our town was completely bizarre for her. It just showed how out of touch she was. I don't think it had any racist links to other religions.

I was thinking about how Stephen told her not to bother announcing her departure as nobody would care but she said 'they might worry Lucy has died'. Well babs, I'm pretty sure if poor Lucy did die, you would not come off line. You would be milking it for all the engagement it would get you.

@ChronicallyBoo I don't think she was being racist. I think she was using it as an excuse as to why she was leaving all the shopping up to Stephen. She said it would be scary. She also said that about Disney but then changed it to blame Ethan saying he wouldn't be able to keep his mask on all day in that heat. She quite often contradicts herself but if you accuse her of lying she gets on her high horse about questioning her integrity!

Interesting thoughts! It's not like face coverings haven't ever been around, you always see people from Asian cultures wearing them on the tube in London (to stop themselves spreading on any germs), doctors/dentists/nurses, sometimes beauticians / nail techs etc and then like you've said for religion reasons. Is Brum scared of ALL masks? Moreover Brum doesn't seem too bothered by people wearing animal heads at Disney Parks which I think is creepier. It's just a silly thing to say, wearing masks is very much going to be the 'new normal' so she'll need to adjust/make her children comfortable around them. I have 4 masks now and I do use them, in my local supermarket you stick out more if you don't wear one. I'm wearing one for my health and safety, and don't really give a tit if someone's child doesn't like it. Masks are now mandatory on public transport, so again Brum will need to adapt if she's going to be using a train anytime soon.

My partner got over his claustrophobia for the full Covid gear on his ward at work.. Brum can adapt to face masks in Disney parks 😂 she's just dramatic.

Just looked candice doesn't follow brum anymore, awks.
I wonder if that coincided with the decision to have a little break - damage limitation to avoid losing any more big accounts by spouting constant rubbish at a time people have zero tolerance for it
