Aw its so nice to read these messages haha.
Yes I remember being the only child on set for ages, it was always so exciting if there was another child around!
I once asked why my name wasn't on the credits so I did get given lines on a couple of occasions but then refused to say them lol.

One of my parents was a writer for it so they are still good friends with Ricky and in touch with Sue.
But honestly, I hated the attention haha. I could have been in the final episode but didn't want to. I remember the make up chair and wardrobe department being the most exciting place, I've always worked in fashion type jobs and did my degree in that too ..... I think my family didn't anticipate the level of attention I got at the time so I think that's why I was taken out when I was 5. I was 6 weeks old when I was first brought to set and its funny but even now I can pick out Sue Johnston's voice on an advert instantly it always sounds so familiar.
My best memory is when Madge from Neighbours came to visit the set (no idea why lol). She was so nice and gave me a big hug. My parents were at a dinner party later and she was talking about the young girl she worked with wanting to leave Neighbours to start a pop career and the brookie cast were saying what a fool she is giving up a good job like that...of course it was Kylie Minogue haha
We love it, Wednesday night when STV drop 5 episodes is our favourite night sat in front of the TV. It's the nostalgia for us, spotting actors, love to see the 80's fashion, house furnishings, cars etc. I think the reruns show how ahead of it's time it really was, the writers all did a great job.
Sue Johnston is the best, her scenes always hit hard and in everything she's done since.
Was there some sort of Brookie/Neighbours mash up towards the end of the final shows? Seem to remember that being a thing, maybe that's why Madge was there?
I didn't watch towards the end, so will be good to catch those episodes.

How lovely all those memories you have, your children will probably love to watch the episode of you and Sue coming back from a shopping day out. Depending on age, as some of the language and views aren't for the modern day we live in now 😂

I've missed a few weeks and from reading here I haven't bothered to watch
Why is Mick speaking with his teeth clenched all of the time?
And yes! Chrissies hair looked absolutely no different than before 🤣
And those glasses!
I shall try and watch next week hoping that things pick up a bit

Good episodes this week, alot went on!!
Blimey, I'd forgotten how mad Terry was when he found out about Daniel, some of the things he said😯
So is that the end of the Collin's and Harry?
Chrissie really gets on my nerves!
I managed to watch them today. I thought Terry and Sue was really good, I don’t remember it being that good as a teen but with life experience you understand better I suppose. It really looked like he physically dragged her out of that taxi, great acting.
Chrissy grates on me!!

Young Katie is really cute, I'm only old enough to remember her as a really annoying adult 🤣.

Day off today so have been catching up on the episodes, on Ep27 and the storylines are really picking up, especially with the Grant family.
Quite enjoy how Heather takes the mickey out of husband Roger, he's a man on the edge of combustion 😁

The recent episodes with her in were shown posthumously as she had died in real life by the time they aired
She attended the lifeboat show as a star guest near where I used to live as well around this time. My Mum has photos of her somewhere wearing a life jacket on one of the boats. She was a lovely lady.

I was wrong then although there was a time when it was Monday & Wednesday I think. So an even bigger gap between new episodes from Tuesday to the following Monday
Yes! It was absolutely hell having to wait for your next Barry Grant fix!
I know I was Monday and Tues as I used to babysit for my sister on those nights, I'm.not sure when they altered to the 3 nights?

And, Barry's back 👀 is this when he starts to go rogue?
Harry gives us some good laughs in our house, the miserable old sod 😂 I love how soft he is over the pregnancy.
Nick storyline is boring us now.

Look forward to when the new episodes drop every week, we call it Brookie date night 😆

I loved the first ten years of brookside, so will be watching this on STV Player. I’m surprised that we didn’t see much of Paul Usher outside of Brookie, he was fantastic as Barry Grant

Some of the characters are beyond irritating - I had forgotten how much so. Lucy Collins is no.1 irritant for me 😵💫😆
Closely followed by Gavin Taylor..
I am surprised at how badly Alexandra Pigg plays Petra Taylor. Is it just me who finds that she seems to struggle with the role? Some of her facial expressions look really forced.

I liked Rod’s reference to either Curly Watts or Reg Holdsworth from Corrie when he was pricing groceries in the supermarket:

“No wonder that four-eyed divvy off Coronation St is such a dick, doing this all week”
