I never realised the actor who played Billy Corkhill was in it before playing a teacher!!
For corrie watchers, Wendy Crozier is in it to!
Has anyone watched the recent ones? Who's the girl at school with Damon, I know her from somewhere but can't think where!
and for Grange Hill watchers Mr Robson, who was the head of PE and then years later became the Head of the whole school, taking over from Mrs McCluskey, played Harry & Edna’s son Kevin, who was living with ‘Wendy Crozier’ and her daughter despite her (shocked face) being married to someone else

Ah that's another I've 'seen' before, loving rewatching this and trying to remember what they've been in!

It will be on stv player from 1st February, going right back to the start.
I can’t wait, used to love watching it with my mum. After Laura died from switching on a light I was scared to touch a light switch for months 😂
Sinbad was my favourite until tinhead came along and I fell in love with Philip Olivier.

Will anyone else be watching?
Is it in the sky channels?

Ah you're a Scotty! Love hearing where folks are from!
I am! Up in the frozen north. I used to watch River City religiously but I haven’t seen it in years (if it’s even still on). That was a cracking soap!

It really was an underestimated soap down here, I loved it, wasn't the bad boy Sneddon?
Think it's on STV, but I have so much on my watchlist!
Sorry brookie fans for going off topic:giggle:

I am watching every episode - and am still finding the Alan Partridge character quite ridiculous.
I felt exactly the same when I watched it first time, around 40 years ago!

Damon’s girlfriend being called Pat. This didn’t seem that odd back then (though Patricia’s that I went to school with - were usually shortened to Trish).
Pat seems such an old name for a teenager 😆

There’s never any change to Alan’s voice, like he’s reading a long text message with no punctuation! I’m not sure what the point in the character is.

I must’ve missed an episode but what happened to the girl Barry picked up hitch hiking who pretended she couldn’t speak English? One minute she was living with Alan and Paul was chasing her around the garden and the next she’d gone. (I probably answered my own question there, being chased by Paul would make anyone pack up and leave pretty sharpish)

I don’t think you missed anything, she just disappeared never to be mentioned again

Yes it feels really disjointed, Alan Partridge needing permission to go out for a drink, but was really creepy around Heather's place, glad she put him right! And Bobby being 46, even watching now I thought he was older! Paul Collins calling his wife 'old girl', he'd have no teeth left if he'd called me that! (I know that's how some folks used to speak back then!)
