Welcome! Gosh it must be strange for you seeing yourself! Are you watching the reruns?
No, I never liked watching myself haha. I know channel 4 sold the rights awhile ago but wasnt sure which channel it was on now. If I tried putting it on my kids would probably be like what are you watching this for?!!

Ooh its a bit risque isnt it. I had an episode on just now and heard ‘gary windass’ say “im going bare back” 😳
Quickly switched off as my 10 yr old was about. No wonder i wasnt allowed to watch!!
Yes, you are right, it pushed the limits at the time, before the 9pm watershed too.
You often hear Damon and the other youngsters swearing, bastard, piss off etc.

So that's the end of Doe! So funny how Barry and Rod kept shutting the car door to stop Sheila getting out! I so would have loved a big showdown between them!
Sue has just had the baby and Terry wants to take her out?
Loved the scenes between Harry and Mick.
Am so fed up with Chrissie's constant moaning, she's so draining to watch!

So sad! I only found out recently that Doreen Sloane continued to work whilst going through her chemo and her last appearance was just weeks before she died.
The recent episodes with her in were shown posthumously as she had died in real life by the time they aired

Good episodes this week (though wish stv would show more!)
Loved Ralph not talking to Harry, he was a saint to put up with him!
I never liked Sandra, but Pat  they really had a strange relationship
Poor Sheila, I felt so sorry for her, she was so caught in the middle of everyone else.
On a lighter note, Damon has a haircut and Terry trying to avoid arguments!!
Yes 5 episodes a week is not enough! I am loving it too, Ralph is brilliant

The early episodes are dull - but we are now late 1985 with some great storylines beginning. This is probably my favourite period of Brookside.

We need to ignore the Karen Grant at Uni scenes though - dull and rather pointless.

One of the random things that always makes me feel teary...

... When all the crew wave at the end of festive Brookside and all get a mention! Makes me feel so proud to be Northern!

I have always remembered not to switch a light on in a gas leak thanks to the parade gas explosion. I was only 9 when I watched it but its stuck with me.
Omg same! And last year my friend and I were the first to arrive at work and when we open the door we could smell gas. She put a hand out to switch on the light and I screamed in her face 🤣
