I'm the same. I loved Definitely Maybe and What's The Story. They were two albums I played all the way through and never skipped. I even paid £20+ for a copy of the Wibbling Rivalry CD from HMV where they are doing an interview and Noel is pissed so it ends up in an argument. When Be Here Now came out...for me, whatever I liked about them wasn't there anymore.

Part of me does wonder if it will go ahead. With their history, I wouldn't put it past one of them sniping during the rehearsals and the other one getting pissed and walking.

I’m very much the same. I saw them at Earls Court on the Be Here Now tour and then lost interest and moved in more of a rock direction.

I’m happy for everyone else who is excited though.

Both brothers have been singing Oasis songs for the last decade or so, it’s not going to be any different other than both on the same stage, yet folk will pay hundreds of pounds for the privilege.

I’ll definitely (maybe) be trying for tickets. Accepting it’ll cost a fortune and be a nightmare. 2 million people tried for Knebworth tickets, I think it’ll be more than that trying for these. Oasis were my favourite band as a teenager and I’ve seen them twice but in the early 00’s at Wembley and MK bowl. I wish I’d seen them in their peak but was a bit too young to be allowed to go!

Age is a great thing sometimes, I’ve saw them 4 times including knebworth. My stepdaughter thinks I’m the coolest thing ever!

I wasn’t aware the Manics had split either? They’re still releasing music The Ultra Vivid Lament was 2021 I think and they’ll probably do anniversary reissues of their big albums like most other bands of the era are.

Brett Anderson and Jarvis are my icons of the age. It always warms my heart to see Brett so well healthy and happy especially compared to his some of his peer group. Who'd have thunk it at the time.

My dh and son are absurdly excited about Oasis. I'll pass.

Yeah they haven't split. I saw them at Edinburgh Castle last month on their joint headline tour with Suede. They're still as great as they ever were. Both of them.

So good. Brett is 56 years old and did not stop for 90 minutes. He jumped into the middle of the crowd and walked through for pretty much a whole song being manhandled and did not drop a note. He's incredible.

then it might have been nice for him to tell his bandmates about that - they paid his share of their earnings into a bank account for him for decades (i’m sure they only stopped doing so and closed the account within the past 5 years). not to mention telling his family.
