Rammstein were amazing, their shows are probably the best i’ve been to !!
yes i know the allegations against Till, charges haven’t been brought against him so no i don’t think they should be cancelled
I heard the stuff about Graham Coxon and apparently Sean Moore is a bit of a fool too.
I suspect all genres of music will have their own murky pasts.
They recruit young women for after-after-parties, who then get isolated, animated to drinks and drugs, and pressured like that to have very rough sex with Till, „completely consensual“. Some of them very traumatized afterwards. It is a whole system built around bringing young fans near Till, only to exploit them sexually.
I always thought, their lyrics were „just jokes“, but it seems they reflect his quite sick and twisted feelings and views pretty accurately.

Last point about Rammstein, sorry for derailing: That nothing can be proved or maybe even nothing illegal happened, doesn’t mean, nothing immoral happened, as a lawyer interviewed about the accusations stated.
If you can’t prove something ä, and therefore the accused person can’t be charged, doesn’t mean, nothing happened. I find all those witnesses who tell the same story completely independent from each other trustworthy and believable.

I'm finding the excitement over the Oasis thingy really bizarre, and I was a fan back then. I had posters, cable knit jumper, anoraks etc. Only caught them once at Leeds 2000 though, well after their prime. Got soaked. Nowt much worse trudging through mud with "Stand By Me" echoing in the background.
Liam is a character and worth a watch. You never know what you'll get so I completely understand the draw he has.
I honestly thought everyone got bored of them 20 years ago so the hype does surprise me.

The Holy Bible was Richey’s masterpiece. I don’t know what you mean by “He had to go”
One thing is for sure and that’s if Richey had stayed in the band, they wouldn’t have made 14 albums. They would have crashed and burned. He was so fragile and unwell. He just wasn’t cut out for fame and touring.
I’m convinced he was autistic. Would never have been diagnosed back then of course.
Nostalgia is a hell of a draw.
Radio X and Absolute Radio seem to always consist of 50% Gallagher tunes.
They both have grown so much as artists since splitting up and made stuff better than Oasis (apart from the untouchable Definitely Maybe). I’m happy for anyone whose favourite band reforms, but I don’t get the massive hype either.

Where as 6Music literally never play them. But then they’re obsessed with new music. Makes it nice when you do catch the odd blast tbh.

I heard Oasis on Magic yesterday morning. Might have been after the confirmation of a tour but I was most surprised. Thought my radio had dialled itself up to Absolute for a moment
I think it’s part nostalgia. I know I look back on the 90’s with a fondness it probably doesn’t warrant. My kids get fed up of me talking about what it was like in the days before the internet, but even my son (who’s 20) has 90’s envy because a lot of his favourite bands were around back then (Nirvana being one of them, but they ain’t ever reforming
). I had the same feeling as a teen when I was jealous of my parents who got to live through the 60’s with that lifestyle and all the great music that came out of that era that I’d never see live (not that I think Oasis were particularly great musically, but they were so ubiquitous, if I hear certain songs of theirs, I’m a teenager again, with a Benson in one hand, half a lager and lime in the other and not a care in the world).
When I went to see Liam for the Definitely Maybe tour a few months ago a good chunk of the audience was made up of families. So they've pretty much passed down the generations. There was a few oiks but you get those at every gig.

I know Simon, not as a big friend more of an acquaintance on a night out, our paths cross a lot and we often chat, drinks in my local Brighton pubs. I was never an Oasis fan, though I do think Definitely Maybe has some great tracks on it, but after that I was very meh about them, I loved Jarvis and Pulp, they were my band in those days. Simon nailed it with this piece, agree with most of it, he’s already getting a bit of criticism on his Twitter though, eeeek.A professional writer (Simon Price
Simon’s a lovely guy, he has even let me DJ with him a couple of times at his Spellbound club nights he hosts, I loved it. He’s gone in hard on Oasis here, despite him being so sweet in real life, he doesn’t hold back with his writing
Have to say, I think it’s all gone over the top, but it’s a nostalgia thing, I can see why it’s become such a big deal for so many, it can’t be denied the Gallagher’s were massive and a big part of the 90s. I enjoyed seeing Pulp again this summer, took me back, and if you love Oasis I get why people are mad for it 
but it’s just not for me.

My first post after years lurking here. Till is suing Der Spiegel after they published a story. His complaint alleges that the paper published a report with falsified documents and an attempt to commit trial fraud. The case was dropped by the courts as prosecutors said a lack of evidence led them to drop the investigation.
Rammstein and Suede were the gigs of the year with AC/DC coming in third for me.
I'm going to try for tickets but not going to kick the a out of it and not willing to pay a months rent on it so we"ll see. Not sure why Noels £20mill divorce is being cited as a reason, he's minted, he'd make that shortfall up in no time (not to say they're not doing it for the huge sums of money involved, i just feel irked by the suggestion that a reasonable divorce settlement is leading him down the john cleese path). Oasis were incredibly important to me, saw them in Hull in 1994 and that night my life changed for the better, giving a lass on a council estate living in poverty a new optimism and enthusiasm , i agree first 2 albums are peak and after that I lost interest but I still feel a flush of excitement at thr thought of seeing them again! I'll just go the bar at anything off be here now...
