My March round up.
So very lucky - Caitlin devlin. I rated this 4/5, I found it really engaging and the story was novel. It’s the second book of hers I’ve read and they are similar in style but that’s no bad thing.
wild love - Elsie silver. Would rate it no stars if I could, just thought it was terrible. Didn’t care about the characters at all and the story was so dull. I knew there was a problem when I flicked (no pun intended) through seven pages of one sex scene. I have the second book in the series but it would take an awful lot to get me to read it.
the shadow of the wind - Carlos Ruiz zafon. 4/5 stars, really enjoyed it. It was the oldest book in my kindle and it took me a while to get to as it was so long, but I’m glad I did.
And now, back to you - BK Borison. 3/5 stars, really wanted to like this more but sadly it paled in comparison to good spirits.
The rules of fortune - Danielle prescod. 2/5 stars, it was just fine. Didn’t find the story great, not much really happened!
Five books read, started seven summers by Paige toon last night but can’t see me finishing it by Wednesday. My kindle library currently has 27 books in the unread section, BUT….
One is the Paige toon one.
one is the Elsie silver one.
one is book 4/4 of a BK Borison one where I’ve only read 1!
Another is an Amazon first reads that turned out to be the first in a series which almost entirely puts me off.
so I’m definitely working my way through, but we’ll see what the April 99p deals have in store. I go away in two weeks so need some engaging ones!

Unlikely to get one, too, because I think they might be independently published and she's now traditionally published 🥲 great for her (and I loved You Should Be So Lucky), but I felt like there was more to come from these two!same! they’re such lovely books and i was GUTTED to see there isn’t a third

A Man on the Moon was 600+ pages and very dense reading so that slowed me down a bit. Worth it though!

it was fine? but there was something about the writing style i couldn’t fully engage with and also just how many tragedies happened on ONE island?! why wasn’t anyone checking on them?! absolute craziness

Actually, more like 4.5 but I'm rounding up. It's a bit gimmicky but I was hooked enough to power through most of it last night!
So that's 4 for me this month and I'm back on track for my reading goal
