I got To Kill A Mockingbird which ive never read and weirdly was only saying the other day I must read, and The Editor's Wife by Clare Chambers.
Oo I’m keen for lonesome doveI’ve gone for Lady Tremaine which was the only deal on my wish list. It’s a retelling of Cinderella from the evil step mother’s perspective. Hoping it’ll be a fun one.
Only had a quick glance through the rest but I did spot Lonesome Dove there so if that’s been on anyone’s must read list it’s a bargain at 99p. Highly recommended, it’s a long one but definitely worth the time.
I also saw Year of the Locust on there but think I’ve been de influenced from picking that up by reviews here, despite loving I Am Pilgrim. (Unless anyone has strong views in favour of it….!)
I may buy this when it comes out as I really fancy it.Just finished Yesteryear. “The Stepford Wives meets The Handmaid's Tale” A solid 4* from me. It’s not published until April 9th and its already been sold for a film adaptation, starring and produced by Anne Hathaway!

i really liked big swiss! but it is very weird and quirky so if that isn’t your usual thing, don’t read it because you’ll hate itHas anyone read the big Swiss? I remember seeing it rated as a great book ages ago but that’s 99p this month too.
*whispers* i’ve really disliked every abby jimenez i’ve read (especially the happy ever after playlist which is an abomination of a book) so i would say ditch itI'm listening to Say You'll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez, and I actually think I'm going to have to ditch it because of the amount of times people have already called this slightly grumpy man Rhysand 🫠 I haven't read any Maas books so maybe that's why it isn't working for me
I like Abby Jimenez but I couldn't deal with this book. It's pure misery porn and the first romance I've ever read where I was screaming for the characters to just break up, PLEASE.I'm listening to Say You'll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez, and I actually think I'm going to have to ditch it because of the amount of times people have already called this slightly grumpy man Rhysand 🫠 I haven't read any Maas books so maybe that's why it isn't working for me
I trust your judgement! Thanks for saving me!*whispers* i’ve really disliked every abby jimenez i’ve read (especially the happy ever after playlist which is an abomination of a book) so i would say ditch it![]()
Oh ok! Weird and quirky like Eleanor olyphant / strange Sally Diamond? I liked those but that’s probably about as quirky as I’ve got!i really liked big swiss! but it is very weird and quirky so if that isn’t your usual thing, don’t read it because you’ll hate it![]()
I LOVED this book. Not my usual read and hated One Day but something about the lead character and the relentless walking and then getting all warm and dry in a nice hotel (that part was added by moi)… I just found it such an enjoyable comfort read. Yes, nothing groundbreaking, but it was one of those books I found myself looking forward to reading each night.I listened to it on Borrowbox, it was an enjoyable audio book to listen to when I was walking the dog. A nice story that kept me interested worth a listen but nothing that wasn't predictable.
I fully agree with your description as I also LOVE You Are Here. Still one of my fave books I've read in the past year or so. And if anyone is looking for an 'enjoyable comfort read' this weekend. This is it. XI LOVED this book. I started it yesterday but I have other obligatory books on the go tooI’m starting Esther Is Now Following You (the tattle book club pick) today because I want to get it over and done with. I deeply resent having my book chosen for me. I have so many other books that I would prefer to read. I shall be hate-reading every page.
By the way, I am the one who restarted the book club thread, and this book is the one that I nominated.
