Just finished Yesteryear. “The Stepford Wives meets The Handmaid's Tale” A solid 4* from me. It’s not published until April 9th and its already been sold for a film adaptation, starring and produced by Anne Hathaway!

I loved Martyr! It can be a heavy read because of the themes but ultimately the book was just beautiful imo.

Has anyone read the big Swiss? I remember seeing it rated as a great book ages ago but that’s 99p this month too.
i really liked big swiss! but it is very weird and quirky so if that isn’t your usual thing, don’t read it because you’ll hate it
I'm listening to Say You'll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez, and I actually think I'm going to have to ditch it because of the amount of times people have already called this slightly grumpy man Rhysand 🫠 I haven't read any Maas books so maybe that's why it isn't working for me

I like Abby Jimenez but I couldn't deal with this book. It's pure misery porn and the first romance I've ever read where I was screaming for the characters to just break up, PLEASE.

Oh ok! Weird and quirky like Eleanor olyphant / strange Sally Diamond? I liked those but that’s probably about as quirky as I’ve got!i really liked big swiss! but it is very weird and quirky so if that isn’t your usual thing, don’t read it because you’ll hate it
I LOVED this book. Not my usual read and hated One Day but something about the lead character and the relentless walking and then getting all warm and dry in a nice hotel (that part was added by moi)… I just found it such an enjoyable comfort read. Yes, nothing groundbreaking, but it was one of those books I found myself looking forward to reading each night.
I fully agree with your description as I also LOVE You Are Here. Still one of my fave books I've read in the past year or so. And if anyone is looking for an 'enjoyable comfort read' this weekend. This is it. X
I’m starting Esther Is Now Following You (the tattle book club pick) today because I want to get it over and done with. I deeply resent having my book chosen for me. I have so many other books that I would prefer to read. I shall be hate-reading every page.
