I blitzed through all of those books in one long weekend. I'm a sucker for a detective series and I particularly enjoyed this one.

I have only read Don't Make A Sound but I found it so hard to put down that I finished it within 2 days. I definitely want to re-read it at some point though.

Do you know that book is loosely based on a real life incident? I will put the name in spoilers just in case for othersI finally read a good book! The average to bad book run of 2025 is over!! I read Such Quiet Girls by Noelle W. Ilhi and I could not put it down!! I was reading it through the night when. I couldn’t sleep then said last night I’d read for ten minutes then sleep as I wasn’t feeling too well l but ended up reading for 90 minutes so I could finish the book. Easyfor me!

The cover of A Little Life just makes me annoyed. I didn’t actually mind the book (didn’t hate it, didn’t love it) but I had to read it on kindle as I couldn’t bear looking at the damn orgasmic man or whatever the duck it’s called.
I’m back! Been off this thread for a while because life has been life-ing but I have been reading. I recently finished Alice Slater’s new book - let the bad times roll. It was quite repetitive and there were too many characters - although that is my own pet hate in books - even though there were barely any characters - frankly what is the point of Richard? And max? It made me miss New Orleans terribly though, and now I want to go back. I gave it 3 stars.

I finished Atmosphere the other day, have to give it a 3* unfortunately which I don’t usually give TJRam I heartless to say I would’ve preferred the ending where she died? It felt too twee at the end
It also was just so anticlimatic and abrupt. Like oh, look. They made it! The End.
Ooh interesting, we read her debut Death of a Bookseller for my IRL book club last month and didn't really rate it at all. A good idea but not well written at all and just generally tedious. I don't think I'll rush out to buy this one

I also have found a book club local to me which I’m going to try and start going to! This months book for them is Believe Me by JP Delaney. Has anyone read this ? I’ve never read anything by this author before so will try and pick up and read hoping I can attend the next one.

I like J P Delaney books and have read quite a few of them. Easy reads that I find quite quick to get through.
I gave Believe me 3/5 stars.
