I NEED TO DISCUSS THE BEE STING
I'm listeningI NEED TO DISCUSS THE BEE STING
Well, I since caught up on the last few pages of this thread and see a few people have weighed in on thoughts about it, so it has been discussed. But I just finished it this morning and duck me sideways, the ending. I actually shouted. Threw my Kobo down and shouted, WHAT THE duck?I'm listening- I finished it last week - have read The Couple Next Door and The Satsuma Complex since, to try and help me get over the frustration of the ending of TBS.
Wait. I'm sorry, what? I just got out of bed to check the start of the book and having read that, I'm now even more annoyed haha.Well, I since caught up on the last few pages of this thread and see a few people have weighed in on thoughts about it, so it has been discussed. Don't play me like that, Murray. I persevered. And you're going to cut me off with that ending?
Somebody commented on a Goodreads review that Murray always ties the ending of his books in with the start, so if you go back and read the first line of the book, that tells you how it ends. There is some comfort in that, if it's true, but what an annoying, wanky convention. I'm not studying something for English class here, I don't need tricks and tHeMeS, I just want a proper story ending after investing *checks app* 15 goddamn days into this!!!

Now this is a book to be savoured in my opinion. My favourite book of all time.Any Robin Hobb fans in the thread?
I'm thinking of starting Shaman's Crossing but not sure if it'll end in disappointment after spending years with Fitz et al.
I've also just started The Will of the Many, do I need to buckle up?
I'll save you the time...Whhhaaatttt!! Now I’m going to have to find the book tomo![]()

Im half way through Devils Night series by Penelope Douglas. It is dark romance but so goodDrop some recommendations if you have some favourites please![]()
Ive bought them too and I havent even read ACOTAR.So I hit the bullet yesterday and ordered the limited edition night court (black and grey cover) versions of ACOTAR series. Had £30 Waterstones plus points and a £20 book token so plumped for first class deliver and the whole lot cost me £6.94!
Still a silly purchase really considering I’m just buying them for the bookshelf as I have them all on kindle and won’t read the actual books as I’ll want them to stay pristine. Cheaper than buying wall art though!

Anyway I am all in with Fourth Wing. I've never read a romantasy or a fantasy book.Violet has just bonded with both dragons. I am hooked
I am loving Tairn so much already. I feel him on so many levelsThe dragons are my absolute favourite. I adore Tairn the grumpy old sod.

For me ACOTAR series is much better. The first book didn't really grip me though, it's only setting the scene. 2nd book onwards is where it really starts. I like forth wing, but imo ACOTAR is just way better quality of writing in comparison.I ADORE Fourth Wing and the books after that, but my god I am struggling to get through ACOTAR. I'm nearly half way through and nothing is really gripping me. Does it get better? I was really hoping it would give me the same feelings Fourth Wing did.
The first actual book lays alot of the groundwork for the series, I didnt really enjoy it and felt the same in regards to continuing it, but once I got through to the 2nd book I was gripped.I ADORE Fourth Wing and the books after that, but my god I am struggling to get through ACOTAR.
