Yessss. Read it a few years ago. It was way too relatable I thought it was brilliant and I think its amazing its being used as Higher text now

I'm going to have to make sure I read it sooner rather than later.

I suddenly realised there's about 18 books left of the year so I'm going to have to be fussy and make sure they're ones I really want to read.

I got a Charity Norman 'Home Truths' for 99p today!

Just finished Hello Beautiful. I was bored as hell in the beginning, it was extremely predictable and the characters were all thin and unlikeable, but I did somehow enjoy it by the end.

Has anyone read Same As It Ever Was? Goodreads reviews are pretty much people hating it or loving it. Definitely 5 stars from me, but I can see why someone would hate it.

I’m in that funny place of starting a book then shelving it for something else, then another and so on. I just can’t settle on anything. This weekend I started Tom Lake, Demon Copperhead and The Wedding People. All highly rated books but I just keep scrolling Goodreads for alternative suggestions
I think I need something easy and feel good…. Any suggestions? I’ve read all Clare Pooley.

I finished reading Frank and Red last night by Matt Coyne. I have zero idea why it was on my wish list as I don’t think I’ve ever heard of it but I spotted it was 99p the other day so bought it. I absolutely loved it! I don’t normally do heart warming, cutesy stories but this was one was fab. Has anyone here read it and recommended it? That might explain why it ended up on my Amazon wish list!

I absolutely loved it! I don’t normally do heart warming, cutesy stories but this was one was fab. Has anyone here read it and recommended it? That might explain why it ended up on my Amazon wish list!

I might have done. I read an excerpt a while ago, loved it, raved about it to people and put it on my tbr list. Just haven't got round to reading it yet. So many books so little time.
I must remember to bump it up the list.

I know some people don't like him/his previous books, but I'm really looking forward to the new Richard Osman book that's due out on Thursday.

Same day as the new Graham Norton book too!

I liked The Thursday Murder Club well enough but I have since found Robert Thorogood's Marlow Murder Club to be a bit more of a page turner for me. That said, I'm still looking forward to Osman's movie, and his new book We Solve Murders, as I want to see what else he can write.

I’m about 60% into Hello Beautiful and feel exactly the same! Will reserve full judgement until I’ve finished it but at the moment a bit underwhelmed after all of the rave reviews I’ve seen.

It's 99p at the moment. I was contemplating it last night but I'm holding on until next time as I have so many Borrowbox reservations coming and audible ending soon so I can't be distracted

over Stephen’s dementia worsening when he forgets that he plays chess with Bogdan I shed a tear!

I’m also gutted that the last book I will read will be the last of the series 🥲 Osman has a new series coming out this autumn but it won’t be TMC. I love the gang and look forward to the Netflix adaptation!

I finished the 4th this weekend for the second time that is, and a tear fell on my page because there were just so many tears. I can not wait to be back with the gang next year, I saw that he had started work on the 5th book recently! And I have pre-ordered his new book, it should arrive this week and I am off work Thursday when it comes out so I will just read all day long, I am sorry little dog but you will have to entertain yourself because I am reading.

I finished Welcome to Glorious Tuga last night and loved it! I was going to give it a 4* review based on my spoiler below but I have to bump it up to 5* because I've recently learned there will be a sequel next year

It's definitely given me an urge to live on a remote island... I was disappointed to find out Tuga isn't a real place

The ending was SO rushed! So many things were left unresolved. Did Joan know who Charlotte was all along? Why separate Annie and Alex after making a big deal about Annie not leaving him? Who gave Charlotte the walnut?! Who did Charlotte end up with?! (I hope Levi)
Argh my logical brain can't sit with so many unknowns. - Thankfully penguin books says it's going to be a trilogy!

I've just finished Sociopath: A Memoir by Patric Gagne. I really didn't know how I wanted to rate it, it was quite heavy going with lots of self and psychological analysis and I can't honestly say I enjoyed it, but it did give me a lot of insight into how sociopaths struggle to fit in. So I did give it a 4 star.

I did. I think I saw it when I was nosying on my friends Goodreads. It’s a nice read especially after heavier books.

I think it might be a 6 books series so were not done yet, but I can't find anything about that at the moment. But I think it is set to release in 2025
