Recently finished Strange Sally Diamond and The Good Samaritan, loved them both! But equally frustrating storylines. Now reading The Wrong Sister which I hope doesn't trigger my justice sensitivity

Just started Blue Sisters on audiobook but 1) I don’t love the narration, it feels very clipped, like they kept chopping the last tiny bit of sound off each word!? And 2) I’m not finding the sisters very likeable. Do they get more likeable!?

likeable is a broad word i liked bonnie but avery and lucky are both very frustrating imo (and the ending made them even more so). i got deeply attached to all of them though!

I finished listening to Bright Young Women yesterday. Liked it more as it went on and thought and it left me feeling quite emotional.

I’ve now started The Hotel Avocado and immediately felt a sense of comfort. I just love Bob’s narration and humour.

I was very emotional at the end of Bright Young Women thinking about all the young women and girls who lost their lives to Bundy. I still think that the author profiting from this story at the same as an actual survivor released her book isn’t very ethical. I would have bought this book instead if I’d realised.

I stayed up until late to finish the much hyped ‘All the Colours of the Dark’ and I’m not sure how i feel about it. so many other readers are saying they are restarting immediately after finishing, is this because there’s just so many characters, too many names and plots that get wrapped up in a rush? I feel if you didn’t pay attention to the smallest detail or of a passing name at the beginning or mid way through, you are left scratching your head at the end. I really wanted to enjoy this book but feel it would make a better film than book Plus I’ve had to scroll google to find answers to a lot of questions. Maybe I’m stupid.

I finished All the Colours last night and it was not what I expected.

I think part of the issue for me was that I was never that invested in any of these characters, so by the end I was just ‘oh ok then’. I also really wanted (and expected) to enjoy this one but ended up being disappointing. So many things didn’t feel believable, and the coincidences got too convenient. Felt like the Grace ending wasn’t that satisfying either.

I finished Welcome to Glorious Tuga last night and loved it! I was going to give it a 4* review based on my spoiler below but I have to bump it up to 5* because I've recently learned there will be a sequel next year

It's definitely given me an urge to live on a remote island... I was disappointed to find out Tuga isn't a real place

Spoiler: Ending to the book

The ending was SO rushed! So many things were left unresolved. Did Joan know who Charlotte was all along? Why separate Annie and Alex after making a big deal about Annie not leaving him? Who gave Charlotte the walnut?! Who did Charlotte end up with?! (I hope Levi)
Argh my logical brain can't sit with so many unknowns. - Thankfully penguin books says it's going to be a trilogy!

I have this on my Kindle so need to bump it up the TBR pile!

I was reading one of hers recently and I forgot and thought I was reading a Santa Montefiore. They write in a similar fashion.

Finished My Vampire Plus One today. Not quite as good as the first but I loved it nonetheless.

Now moved onto The Husbands by Holly Gramazio, really feel good and funny for my holiday, I'm racing through it.
