I was reading one of hers recently and I forgot and thought I was reading a Santa Montefiore. They write in a similar fashion.

They do! Similar styles and usually a variation on the same plot - split time lines featuring present day woman delving back into some mysterious family secret that’s revealed from the point of view of a female ancestor. With a handsome guy thrown in somewhere for good measure to help present day woman come to terms with her family’s past!

That’s not meant to be derogatory by the way. Two of my fave authors, especially when I want a reliable comfort read I know I’m going to love. The Seven Sisters books in particular are ones I’ll always recommend when people are looking for a good read.

Recently finished The Red of My Blood by Clover Stroud? Anyone else read it? It's a memoir-type book about her grief after the loss of her sister.

Moving on to something lighter now.

That’s not meant to be derogatory by the way. Two of my fave authors, especially when I want a reliable comfort read I know I’m going to love. The Seven Sisters books in particular are ones I’ll always recommend when people are looking for a good read.

Put it this way, I'll be grateful to the day I die that someone, (probably someone on here) recommended the Seven Sisters books. I'm finding that people relate to one of the sisters - mine was Star, although I did the quiz and came out as the Missing Sister.

i sure did! it doesn’t match my edition of cerulean sea at all but it was too pretty to resist.

the patchy reviews of think again do sadly have me raising my eyebrow slightly but i also absolutely know that i’ll be buying it in tesco later

I’m excited for it.. but also keeping my expectations low.. and will probably/definitely get it over the weekend.

I totally agree. Both authors actually work great for me as my going to sleep audiobooks!

I've not been on here for ages, my reading has completely fallen of a cliff. I'm reading the will of many now and it's so slow! I've been reading it for two weeks now and only on 20%. Not that I'm not enjoying it but it was hard to get into at first.

To be fair I'm also reading a non fiction book that the same time.

I think I'll only manage about 30 books this year which is well off my target of 50

Aw super! The one I’ve downloaded is 1500ish pages and starts summer 1971, is that the right one? I’m getting so confused because the TikTok’s I’ve seen show 3 books (bound) so I’ve no idea if it’s right it’s going to take me forever to read it

I finished The Next Mrs Parrish. 1 star. Utter utter rubbish.
I am now reading Ghosts by Dolly Alderton which I’m really enjoying and whipping through. I hadn’t read her before I read Good Material earlier this year and that was 5 stars for me.

That's happening for me right now for i think the first time..I'm not an ahole and I feel bad but this is the first time I have ever read a book on grief and not felt sad or sorry for the person experiencing the loss.She comes across as so unlikeable, privileged self centred delusional and a bit unhinged/ gullible..

Hopefully i will managed to refrain from doing so as I'm reading it on Kindle. Thank god I didnt pay for the book.
