I love Jessica Redland's books as she is such a great storyteller and her books are so hard to put down as you want to keep reading on to find out what happens next.

With the end in mind is 0.99p on kindle. A book well worth reading.
I am SO into Demon Copperhead, my GOD. I'm only a quarter in and I am absolutely hooked. Already an extremely strong contender for book of the year.
Can't wait to become obsessed with Barbara Kingsolver and read everything she's ever written. I already own The Poisonwood Bible.

I really loved Demon Copperhead too - I read it in February. One of my favourite books of the year. Thinking of trying The Poisonwood Bible soon enough.

would hugely recommend the lacuna by her; it’s a wonderful (though i remember finding the poisonwood bible a struggle!)
I’m in that funny place of starting a book then shelving it for something else, then another and so on. I just can’t settle on anything. This weekend I started Tom Lake, Demon Copperhead and The Wedding People. All highly rated books but I just keep scrolling Goodreads for alternative suggestions

I know some people don't like him/his previous books, but I'm really looking forward to the new Richard Osman book that's due out on Thursday.

Never could get into her books. kept trying the Poisonwood Bible..Demon Copperhead wasnt for me. However i loved her Animal Vegetable Mineral non fiction about her familys attempt to eat only locally grown food for a yr. I borrowed from the library years ago a few times if I recall

I've just finished Saving Noah by Lucinda Berry after seeing it chatted about on here...
Definitely one of those books that makes you feel a multitude of emotions reading it. I'm struggling to put it into words to be honest. It would have been a 5
read but the twist at the end really let it down for me. I felt it was really unneccesary and didn't really add anything.
I read The Teacher by Freida McFadden and it was just a standard Freida McFadden - a quick easy read that didn't require a lot of thinking lol. I do regret reading that first (even though that book is massive red flag in itself - I need a palate cleanser now after reading Saving Noah and Freida's books are ideal.

To those who loved Demon Copperhead - ME TOO. Absolutely loved it.
also can’t wait for new Richard Osman as I love TMC - need to read The Last Devil to Die but I think I will have to really savour it.
I’m currently reading The Next Mrs Parrish which is utter rubbish. The Last Mrs Parrish wasn’t great but was good enough to enjoy as reading, but jeez this sequel is so unrealistic and bad writing!
it mentions the pandemic having an impact on one of the lead characters businesses, yet it’s only been a year since the events of the previous book and I don’t recall the pandemic being mentioned or having any impact on their lives in that? Also it’s brought in a whole other plot backstory for Amber that wasn’t mentioned in the first book but only happened 3 years ago… it’s just so so bad.

Mrs Quinns Rise To Fame? A very cute feel good and the writing reminded me of Clare Pooley
