Not that it matters about numbers as numbers shouldn't matter but does anyone else on here set themselves a reading goal? Are you on track if you set yourself a goal?

Mine's 46 and currently on 26. It's been a slow reading Summer due to going on holiday, out a lot more etc. But tend to speed up again in Autumn/Winter. Done the Goodreads challenage for about 7 years now.

I haven’t read your spoiler but I’m at ~30% through and do think it’s different to I expected. I’ve got two other books on the go atm and think I need to finish one of them so a can focus on All the Colours.. or maybe I’ll just focus on All the Colours ha I am intrigued to see where it’s going as…
something I thought was a key plot point was resolved earlier than expected.

Oh I have just finished The Bullet that Missed. Loved it and also a bit weepy
over Stephen’s dementia worsening 😭 when he forgets that he plays chess with Bogdan I shed a tear!
I’m also gutted that the last book I will read will be the last of the series 🥲 Osman has a new series coming out this autumn but it won’t be TMC. I love the gang and look forward to the Netflix adaptation!

Same here! I’ve been lucky enough to get an ARC of the new Osman book but not started it yet.
TMC is bitter sweet for me now, my friend and I started the series together and were so looking forward to watching the film but she died suddenly a couple of months ago. I’m still going to watch the film and read the books as she would have wanted me to and I’ll raise a glass to her. 🥹

Thanks everyone 🥰 you’re all lovely bookworms. I have quite a busy weekend with a friend visiting so I don’t think I’ll get much time for reading. I’ll get back to it next week.

Ah the Rifle Paper one is the ‘leaf design’ edition I was shortlisting the other day - couldn’t remember what it was called.

I really like the Rifle Paper Co ‘book club’ design things, the beach towel was very tempting pre holiday!

Yes! I have the three Austen novels they've released and they're lovely. I like the whimsy Rifle Paper Co uses in all their designs. The book club things are very cute!

I’ve just finished The Silent Patient, I feel like I must be the last person in the world to read it. I really enjoyed it but think it was a case of it being soooo overhyped that it was simply never going to live up. I almost wish I had read it before seeing the online hype and rave reviews. Still a solid 4 star though.

I've just finished book 1 of a saga.......... and I'm hooked. I've been widening my horizons in case you haven't noticed. 😁 Reading fantasy, witchy and books I can't categorize, like this one, which reel you in with a good story.
I can see where you're coming from - the Tattlers who've been reading and recommending books like this. Yet another one for the salivating hordes who I appear to have been influencing.🤭
The book in question❓ A New Home In The Dales by Betty Firth. It seems the author's inspiration was the real life setting up of The Dalesman magazine in Yorkshire in World War 2.
Naturally I've broken my rule of no more books ordered from the library, to order the next one in the series............what????!!!!! 😏🙄🤭📚
