So tempted by the 3 for £6 deal in The Works however I received 11 books for my birthday this week and am set to receive more for Mothers Day so I think it would just be greedy at this point wouldn’t it 🙈

I've just had a look at all the new stock on The Works, and I'm shocked. There's basically nothing grabbing my attention, so I'm not buying.

That’s good news that you aren’t tempted. I’ve still not read any Freida McFadden so it was those that were calling my name and the Elsie Silver ones.

Just been in today and it was cr*p ......and I normally never knowingly go into The Works and not buy anything 🤷
Looked online and not many of my favourite authors available from them. 😟

Don’t forget buying/collecting looks and reading books are two separate hobbies. Would we ever tell a stamp collector they had too many stamps? Or a coin collector had too many coins?

Unravelling Oliver isn’t gripping me 😕 I’ll stick with it because it’s a quick read but I’m not compelled to go and pick up my kindle.

Anyone got any recommendations for Mike Gayle books? I've just finished Half a World Away which I absolutely loved, want to read more but can't decide which!
I read all the lonely people a week or so ago and really enjoyed it! would recommend

I finished it yesterday and didn’t love it either. I feel like there were too many characters/the same thing from too many points of view, so it became repetitive and also quite confusing. it did pick up a bit towards the end for me, and I enjoyed it as a character study but after loving strange sally diamond I was disappointed! I’m listening to lying in wait just now and enjoying that more

Its time to pick a new kindle book. These are the ones jumping out at me. Any thoughts? Bit disappointed to hear Unravelling Oliver isnt very good.
I have the good sister, so would selfishly love to know if it’s worth reading!

I gave up with the due date, something about the writing was so sub par and life is too short to read bad books 😂

The only one I’ve read is Little Secrets… I rated it 5 stars AND remember what it’s about without looking.

HTH 😂 x

I’ve not read any but judging totally just on covers it’s Win Lose Kill Die that jumps out at me most. Off to Amazon now to have a spy…

I am 1/3 of the way through The Last Passenger and am truly gripped. Wouldn’t want to recommend until I’m finished but really enjoying it so far.

Randomly I was looking at This Family last night too. Be interested to know if anyone's read it and what they thought, I dithered too long and didn't order it yesterday but tempted to...
I have read it.

It's very different to The Stranding, which is one of my fabourite books. I struggled for the first third at least, to work out who was who and what was going on.

It's was alright but I haven't recommended it to anyone 😬
