I started doing a waterstones order last night, went to do my skin care, came back and forgot about it.

I missed out when Preloved was 99p and you all read it but thrilled I saw it on the bookshelf at the library today and didn’t even have to pay to reserve it.
I am aiming to read at least one library book a month. I have enough on the bookshelf and kindle that I’ve paid for but I really want to support libraries and I’ve also really enjoyed going for a browse. It’s a bit like going to a bookshop without spending money. Although often a lot of the popular books/authors are not available. And also it forces me to choose books without being influenced by reviews/star ratings (however tempting it is to pull out my phone whilst browsing!!).
So today I borrowed

- Freeze by Kate Simants

I’m sure they’ll be another double points deal for Easter weekend - I think there was last year.
Ah I meant to add The Family to my order, saw it was one of the books of the month!
So I've read The Fury, and it's left me deeply unsatisfied. The ending didn't feel like justice.
And the narrative style was what I can only amateurishly describe as "wanky balls".
The perspective of the narrator and how they'd say something and then do a "oops, I shouldn't have told you that, or am I double bluffing" was annoying. It felt like balls. Breaking the fourth wall like that doesn't always work, and for me it didn't.
The general plot and story was good, and I actually enjoyed the story right up until the end when the resolution left me feeling unresolved.
I am finally finished The House in the Cerulean Sea. Thank goodness. That was a slog.
