No one around me irl really reads much so I love coming here to speak about my latest reads The bookseller at the till at Waterstones goes "Oh we have double points today" and I said "Ohh yes, I know, it's World Book Day!"
I picked up Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel (which I've been meaning to read for ages), Betting on You by Lynn Painter, and a Virago Modern Classics edition of The Group by Mary McCarthy (I've been eying off this pretty edition for a while, it's a favourite book of mine). I'm also going to order the super pretty Puffin in Bloom Jane Austens that were recently published as they didn't have any in store.
This afternoon I will celebrate by continuing to read The Graham Effect by Elle Kennedy! Love a good ice hockey romance and in this both the FMC and MMC play which is fun. Mixes things up a bit!

Ive just did a pre order at Waterstones. May have to cancel this one and re do it to take advantage of double points.

Ah yes - that’s one of my pre-orders I didn’t get the stamps for!
I contacted the twitter/X Waterstones help who are usually really good but they don’t seem to be understanding and saying ‘you have stamps from the order’. Fortunately I have a store receipt from 25th that shows I definitely haven’t had any more stamps since then.
