I know. I got my first subscription box a few weeks ago and it was beautiful. Lovely rainbow gradiant sprayed edges.
Which special edition did you go for?

---

My copy of the Lighthouse Witches is due to be delivered this morning! Embracing spooky/cosy season by reading anything with witches in the title or a slightly moody dark cover atm lol
---

Too true! I have Illumicrate and Fairyloot and fully intended to only get one a month but they’re just so beautiful it’s hard to click that skip button!
I'm on the fairyloot waitlist (which I assume is very long since I've been on it since April), otherwise I would be in the same boat!

I only have a wishlist for kindle books, I rarely buy physical books anymore and if I do it tends to be charity shops/supermarket finds that I just pick up. I usually always have 2 on the go, one kindle and one audio. Right now I’m reading the bodyguard by Katherine Center on my kindle and have just started listening to the third wife by Lisa Jewell.

@Caffeine Fiend I’m not sure it’s worth the £2.99 kindle price tbh. Which is a shame because it started well and I really wanted to like it more than I did.

Thanks I think I'll not bother then. :D

The List has dropped to £2.99. I cant decide whether to splurge or not. I dont usually pay that much for an e book.
I think I got it for 99p the other day. I definitely didn't pay 2.99.

I'm about 40% through and it's just OK. Will see how it pans out

Same. I've been on the wait list for FL since April. Does anyone have any ideas how long it takes? Or how long anyone had to wait? Thanks.

I think it varies by location. I’m UK and it was 3 months for me. Apparently if you email them they can give you an indication of where you are in the queue.

I only have audible when I have an offer. I cancel it when its full price 😆 I use credits for the 2 for 1 sales or brand new books. I often buy the £2.99 sale books too.

15 hours a month isnt enough for me really, can do that in a week 🙈

Ooh thanks all regarding The List! I'm way down in the queue for it at the library and from mixed reviews I don't really want to spend money on it either! So I guess it'll be my first ever audiobook courtesy of Spotify! Lets see if the format is for me

Would people compare them to podcasts? I listen to podcasts all the time on walks etc so I'm hoping audiobooks work for me

In the last few days, all because of this thread, I’ve used my Audible credit for The Rachel Incident, placed a hold for The List on audio on Libby and bought Murdle (which I added to my saved list at first and then was notified it’d gone down by a fiver!)

I love you guys 🫶

I've just finished the Santa Montefiore book The Temptation of Gracie which I really enjoyed with a satisfying sob for me at the end. Now onto the latest Jack Sheffield University Tales book which I'm finding ok so far but not as enjoyable as his primary school series.

I only have a kindle wishlist. But any that don't drop in price I check my library. I don't tend to buy physical books unless I am in my local bookshop and see something that takes my fancy or my bookclub pick.

I always have at least 3 on the go:
Physical
Kindle
Audio

Can sometimes have multiples of each of these depending on what I have going on
I have one list and usually add the digital version. I check every day with view lowest to highest.

I will sometimes go through them one by one to check the physical but I dont buy that many physical books (she says with a straight face having bought double figures since Friday)
I add kindle reads to my wish list and check that daily. However, before I add to the wish list I’ll check BorrowBox and Libby. Then every few weeks I’ll check again just in case any have since been added.

I have at least one e-book and an audio on the go. Then also a book with my son (we’re reading the HP books so because they’re substantial, I’m counting them towards my target too) and I’m currently reading A Little Life (93% now!) so I have four currently.

I listen when I’m doing housework and walking, tend to read at night before bed, listen to a chapter of Harry Potter with my son before he goes to bed while we build and sort through Lego 😂 and every time I finish a book, I read a section of ALL. It’s working for me at the moment 😅

I also find things like this very interesting ☺
@Tofino - Everything is added to my Amazon wishlist as a Kindle book as I don't think I could ever pay more than 99p for a book ever again. I check most days for deals and also check Borrowbox as I like to save my 99p if I can 🤣

I normally have 3 on the go. One kindle book, one Borrowbox and one audio.

Thanks all for sharing. I’ve now updated my Amazon wishlist so they are all kindle versions and just got a separate list for any that don’t come on kindle or I specifically want a printed copy.

I do have Borrowbox but I’d say most books I look for are always popular and reserved for months in advance and I can’t plan ahead that far.

I just can’t do audiobooks. I did try again this week but my mind wanders too much.

Its worthwhile requesting the months away in advance anyway. Sometimes you get it quicker and if you end up getting it another way then you can just cancel your request :D

Have you tried increasing the speed on audiobooks? They're not for everyone but I found I enjoyed them if I upped the speed, usually to 1.2x.

I don't know if I'm proud of myself or disappointed in myself, I went to Waterstones today and didn't actually buy anything, well, except for lunch. 😆
