I think it was me. Its a book that has stuck with me since I read it. (It encouraged me to read Animal by the same author which was not good šŸ˜‚)

I loved the way it was written and researched. Maggie's story was by far the saddest and gut wrenching. She doesnt use a pseudonym IIRC or its easy to read about the story because I remember googling it.
Yes I think it was you! ā¤

Yeh she is the only one who used her real name. I have been googling all afternoon too šŸ¤£ she seems to be doing well now as a social worker which is lovely to hear

Yes it is. A positive outcome, if there is such a thing.

I really did enjoy the book. I might re-read it soon. I wonder if there are any books out there written and researched in a similar way. Id love to read them if so.

Edit - not directly linked but similar style? I read 'youre the only one Ive told' last month. Its written by an OBGYN who specialises in reproductive health. Each chapter was a different persons story.

Its actually v cheap on Kindle at the moment. I used an audible credit for it.

Excellent! Glad I could help :)

Has any one had any issues with the Kindle insights? I had a reading streak and it didnā€™t record Feb 14 and 15 and said the last data had been received 13 Feb, itā€™s now updated to 16 Feb and is back to 1 day :( I wonder why it didnā€™t capture 14/15 Feb and if there is anything I can do about it?
Iā€™ve had this happen to me and I will admit I did Google a fix as my streak was on day 300ish and I had read on that day and it didnā€™t count. You need to have the kindle app on your phone to be able to fix it though x

Ok awesome, I do have the app on my phone so I will see how I can fix it! I also did read on those two days (still stuck in the MindFk series haha) so I want my days counted! Thank you.

I felt the same about Animal. A friend wanted to read it after me and I felt so bad passing it along to them. It's rare that I hate a book so much but Animal is one of the few reads that made it into that category.

It's also one of the few books where the author has almost apologised in the author's note!

I gave up on Betty yesterday and started faking friends. Iā€™m at 75% and will definitely finish it today. I needed something easy to get over Betty.

Just finished ā€˜The Trouble with Goats and Sheepā€™ and absolutely adored it. The summer of 1976 nostalgia through the eyes of two 9 year old friends.

Youā€™re welcome, let me know if you canā€™t find a fix and Iā€™ll find the link with the instructions I followed. Itā€™s so frustrating when it doesnā€™t count it!

What are the requirements for returning an audible book? Iā€™ve returned a few that Iā€™ve hardly started. How far through the book do they still accept returns?

I returned one the other week and i was about 45 mins in.

I think you can return it at any point as long as its been purchased in the last year.

Interested though, how many have you returned? Because I thought you were only allowed to return 2 a year

Iā€™ve nearly finished We are completely beside ourselves
Itā€™s nothing like I thought it would be, but in a good way!
