EVERY SHIFT my daughter works is 12 hours long and because of the nature of her job she risks her life every day she goes to work. My company is closed the week of Christmas and I'm SO looking forward to it. This year was rough. I was part of a mass tech layoff and it took nearly two months to secure my current job (and as you all know, finding a new job is a job in and of itself). Between that I didn't get a lot of "off" time.
