Another thing the kids might has to deal with is parents not letting their kids play with them. As disgusting as it sounds it does happen, I've seen it with a friend of mine she had an affair and some parents stopped their kids playing with hers

While Iā€™ll agree that she has a responsibility to try not make things hard for their kids, that still rests on the parents. I know you donā€™t disagree as youā€™ve said itā€™s disgusting just following on the conversation. Those parents would wanna get the duck over themselves

I still think it's a PR stunt.

I know very little about polyamorous lifestyles, is there any evidence that 'throuples' and similar setups have any effect on children, neutral, negative or positive? I'm trying to be open minded
I think with kids in general, kids donā€™t think something is weird or wrong unless theyā€™re told itā€™s weird or wrong. Same way no kid is born homophobic but if theyā€™re hearing all around them that being gay is something to be ashamed of theyā€™ll parrot it. Now Iā€™m not comparing being gay to being polyamorous as I suppose the latter is a choice (I know people who do it but Iā€™m an all or nothing person and it wouldnā€™t be for me) but if it affects the kids I think that would be because itā€™s not the norm and thereā€™s external judgement. No psychology expert obviously but imagine it was more open and accepted in society and everyone knew a few poly couples, it would be far less likely to affect them. Think any issues will come from stigma and not the poly thing itself. Iā€™m drunk so sorry if that doesnā€™t make much sense

It is without a doubt a PR stunt - theyā€™re just biding their time and building publicity before they come out and deny it.

Maybe it's just a craving for a bit of excitement in her life. I'd imagine it's hard not to be resentful of the whole parenting situation. Because he lives so far away, Ben gets to be 'fun dad', only seeing them at school holidays, while she is stuck with the mundanity of school runs, homework, bringing them to activities, sickness, discipline. He has been free to set about meeting a new partner, starting a new career and living this whole new exciting life in another country and she's been left to pick up the slack. Even as an outsider looking in, it seems a little unjust/unfair.

She has to be having a mid life crisis. Publicity stunt or real thing. If she dumped Ben for cheating that shows that she has traditional values so this is a strange move. Iā€™d say difficult for anyone who has ever Had a bit of fame to return to ā€˜normalā€™ life in somewhere like tipp and she canā€™t deal

She announced she was with the limerick hurler at new years; the big Christmas tree announcement!! She announced she was with the Garda early last year too. They had been together for months and had previously went on holidays and went to weddings together, they have a circle of ā€œfamousā€ friends and not one squealed on the relationship for months and months but she clearly wanted it in the media that she was with someone: he didnā€™t want the spotlight And within a day of announcing that relationship it was reported they broke up!!

Sorry I feel like Iā€™m being a contrarian on everything I reply to haha but being faithful isnā€™t traditional same way cheating isnā€™t just a kooky alternative lifestyle itā€™s just basic morality? Talking morals (cheating) vs an unusual romantic life choice. Could well be right about the crisis just think itā€™s apples and oranges u know

I'd say she's craving a bit of spice in her life and hungry for publicity and money. The glitz and glamour of being in the Saturdays, the fans, the travelling, the showbiz parties, red carpets is all in the past. She's a mother now and absolutely stunning...What a shame cos she could make a killing as a "Mom" or music influencer but I don't think this latest thing will be good for her brand. Whatever floats your boat but let's face it, she's not "throupling" in private, with the local postman and his wife, she's probably blinded by $dollar signs, it happens to be with a retired boxer, who was a cheat himself, has a beautiful girlfriend and even that's not enough for him.

These kind of things have been going on for years long before us!! I remember my nana opened up one time about the carrying ons more than 60 yrs ago and mother of God but we're a quiet generation!! Gentleman farmers carrying on with house maids and milk maids. A few parishes over in the 1940s a priest was shot in the back after a woman was found dead in a field. No one will talk about it even to this day but from what I've been able to find it seems she took her own life because she was pregnant by the priest and her fella went in and shot him. Rural catholic Ireland in the words of my nana had an awful lot of filth and dirt kept behind closed doors

That's all completely different though. You couldn't even compare it to three consenting adults in a relationship together.
Women put up with men having women on the side back then due to them having no other options and the church ruling the country. I doubt the milkmaid was in bed with the farmer and his wife.

I'm all on for the poly life! But I'm not falling for this story (Una's)

I'm not buying this story either tbh.she comes across as a bit of a sensible Sally, her ex husband alluded to this before, maybe she's trying to shake up her public persona.Una is a stunningly beautiful girl,I felt so sorry for her when her marriage broke down.she was lucky to have such a supportive family network to return to.i just feel this move is a slap in the face to her family and will do untold damage to her career progression.not sure why she would put this out there.her daughter particularly is at an age where it could be thrown at her at school, poor child.Una seems like an intelligent woman,I don't think she thought the repercussions of this through...whatever people do behind closed doors between consenting adults, the best of luck to them but unfortunately there is a double standard after this announcement where David Haye is getting claps on the back the 2 ladies are being compared to playboy bunnies/escorts.i have seen these 2 terms used online in the last few days.I think in an effort to boost her profile she has shot her credibility.Haye is such a scumbag too,he looks filthy. They seem like a very unlikely pairing and as for the model girlfriend,so odd.All very bizarre.

Yeah even with the drink Iā€™m not getting whatā€™s difficult about that.

Cheating on a partner comes down to morals, and cheating is an immoral act.

Being monogamous or not shows whether someone has ā€˜traditionalā€™ values or not. Having traditional values and having basic morals are separate things. Also people who are open to the poly lifestyle generally have monogamous relationships in their life first. Whether sheā€™s poly or not now, that marriage was monogamous and good on her for dumping him.

ā€˜She dumped Ben for cheating, that shows she has traditional valuesā€™ no it shows that she isnā€™t going to let herself be disrespected by a husband who has done something wrong and immoral, and good for her not staying. It doesnā€™t have any bearing on the throupleā€™s legitimacy. Zero correlation

This is just so funny šŸ¤£šŸ¤£ I'd say there was some shenanigans on the country and western scene back in the day that would make the Rock n roll lifestyle blush !! Holy Catholic Ireland and all! We'll never know the truth, all pre social media.
I've found my people on this thread šŸ™ŒšŸ™Œ this is the gossip that i want

Yes!šŸ˜‚This is my favourite Tattle thread. Couldnā€™t be more Irish even if we were all eating Taytos!

I feel like if there were rumours of me being in a thruple and everyone had gotten the wrong end of the stick Iā€™d have come out and rubbished it by now
Yes, she surely wouldā€™ve said something if itā€™s not true.
