The nurse told her not to put a plastic bag over it, so she puts a plastic bag over it? Surely she could have put another thin bandage over it instead then removed it when she got home thus keeping the original one clean?

As previously said, deep lacerations to hands do need checked out. I had mine seen to straight away and I was still left with permanent nerve damage.

I work in A&E and hate time wasters, but these ACCIDENTS often require attention.
