Think he wanted the boys to be his best mates and become footballers but never happened then let Vicky give all her attention to them which gave him some freedom to do what he wanted but having a girl (IMO) is what he really wanted so he could spoil her and make her his "princess" which Vicky has never been.

my partner, her Dad would certainly not be getting upset and jealous yeah, that’s what I imagine kids are like and can vaguely remember doing similar when I was a kid! I certainly didn’t tell my dad about my crushes and then reassure him he’s my valentine… he’s not modelling very healthy relationships for her there is her.She’s 10. Not on the same level but my brother in law was a stalker when his daughter got a boyfriend so much so that my sister almost kicked him out of the house.
