I really went off her in her last video. I think she’s so out of touch with reality. She is putting off renting/buying because she wants to go backpacking again and was talking about this costing £2k when the UK is currently in a Cost of Living Crisis.
I feel like she has lost her love for travel and just wants to tick countries off a list. She was talking about how she needs to slow down and not go to Ecuador AND Peru and then says “oh I can just go to Bolivia instead”.
also, she won’t join her family for Xmas in Perth because the flights are 2-6k but I just found them for a grand and she must be loaded if she is buying a house in Zone 1/2 London and currently has no rent or bills to pay. It’s all so bizarre.

I don’t see an issue with her talking about costs, or anyone else, it’s not their fault there’s a cost of living crisis. It’s not like they can do anything about it so I don’t see why they should get hate for enjoying themselves if they are able to afford it. Imo it’s helpful I prefer when YouTubers talk about money as it gives people who are watching and thinking about doing the same an idea of if they can afford it. If people are that bothered then don’t watch someone talking about their travel plans, as obviously it’s going to cost (often) a lot of money.
Bolivia was to save money on flights right? It seems to make total sense her going there first? As the other options didn’t make sense. It didn’t seem as though she was going to visit many places in Bolivia.
With the flights to Australia could she not just fly from somewhere in South America or closer rather than flying back to London first? Or stay longer or fly earlier to avoid the huge Christmas price increase she spoke about? Probably would save money doing this, especially if staying with family. Don’t see the point in going to Australia for 1 week either.
I also don’t understand why she wouldn’t just find a place to buy now if possible. She’d be able to go traveling at the times she stated and be back probably way before the sale would be completed.

I’m allowed to say that she’s unrelatable because she’s very blasé about the amount of money she can spend/has and the only reason is because she doesn’t have the same difficulties that many people do in the country right now as she lives at home etc. I don’t have an issue with someone talking about the breakdown of costs at all. I just wish she recognised her privilege as not many people live at home for 30 years essentially rent free (as she’s hardly there I doubt she pays much rent).
also, the other thing which I think was very out of touch was when she said she had an “issue” with wanting to go EVERYWHERE and blamed this on Covid. I think that’s fair enough, if you didn’t travel as much as she did in 2020/2021. She went to Columbia, Greece and Mexico in 2020 and then continued travelling Mexico in 2021, Mallorca, Tenerife, Turkey, Egypt for the rest of the year. I know travel was “open” towards the end of 2021 but she travelled a lot more than most people + a normal amount for her in a year anyway? I just thought it was an odd comment, especially as she had backlash for continuing to travel (most of the time without masks etc) during the pandemic.

Especially when their job is traveling and that’s what they are talking about.I don’t agree with how she travelled Mexico especially, in terms of mask wearing. She definitely should’ve worn masks more for example on the boat trip where everyone else was wearing masks apart from her and her boyfriend. Can’t remember about the other places though.
Also surely buying a house and putting it on air bnb whilst shes away will make her money whilst she’s away? Especially if it’s in London? I’m sure she mentioned doing that previously so I don’t understand why she doesn’t start the process of buying a place. My house took 6 months to complete, I don’t see her wanting to stay in the UK for a couple of months let alone longer so why not start the process just before the start of a trip.

She still said she wants to buy didn’t she? But was going to wait until after Peru so maybe she can start the process now since it’ll take a while anyway. Haven’t they been saying about house prices going down for a while now but they keep going up. As they said they’d go down in the middle of this year I read last year, I nearly waited but glad I didn’t as prices have gone up more.
Just catching up on some of her videos. Christ, could you get any more detached from how regular people live their life? Her travel plans video seemed completely tone-deaf to what's going on in the world right now. Like, the actual audacity. Also, the poor planet and her carbon footprint are just ...damn. Any regular person would burn themselves out with all that travel, but Christianne has around 1 brain cell so I think she's safe.
Maybe it’s good that she has found what she thinks is her perfect flat as after this trip it might ground her for quite a while if she goes for it
I wonder if she’ll be honest to her mortgage company (if she can get one now) about renting it out if she’s not there
I always wondered, if she’s planning on living there throughout part of the year and then air bnb when she’s not will it change the mortgage you need? Since you are still planning on leaving there for some time?
Some mortgage conditions have in them that you can’t rent out a property with that mortgage
Yeh it will be complicated both by that and the fact that she is self employed so so presumably has a pretty varied income. I do not envy anyone trying to get a mortgage now generally speaking tbh
