She could’ve just said there was a protest and that she was annoyed. I for one wouldn’t have heard of the issues if it wasn’t for her post

I’ve had lots to say on this thread, but I’ve been keeping quiet because, having been in Thailand at the same time as Christianne earlier in the year, it turned out we were both staying in Cusco (which is a relatively small place) at the exact same time a few weeks ago! I didn’t want to tempt fate by posting just in case I ran into her. Luckily, I was there for about a week and didn’t bump into her at all!
- I have found most of her last few videos to be incredibly samey and boring. Get up early, moan about the altitude, get on a minibus, moan about the altitude, arrive at the base of some sort of climb/trek, moan about the altitude, start climbing, moan about the altitude, say she thinks she won’t be able to do it, moan about the altitude, complete the climb, moan about the altitude, posts a screenshot of her fitness stats (who cares?). Maybe there is an audience for this thing but I find it incredibly repetitive.
- I have no idea what she was going for a whole month in the historic district of Cusco. The place is the worst tourist trap I have ever encountered - you can’t walk 10 meters without someone coming up to you with a menu or some paintings or some other crap to sell. I’m so glad I stayed slightly outside this area. It is unbearable and there’s not an almighty amount to see nor do there either - a few days is enough (with a few more for excursions like Machu Picchu). It seems she spent the entire time going to different cafes and “doing work” - I’d have gone mad personally.
- On the “work” note - what does she do all day? I can’t believe she has the audacity to upload a “remote work tips” video recently when the Pakistan videos are yet to appear and there is Thailand/Egypt content we never got to see. She’s also uploading stuff out of order. Surely that shop is either made-to-order by some company or sells from premade stock. She’s hardly internet famous so I can’t image she’s sold more than a double-digits worth of items? Is she doing freelance editing still? All very odd.
- She did get rather unlucky with Machu Picchu but you can have something that looks very like the “classic Instagram shot” from the bottom half of the site. Clearly she didn’t bother. I’m also not sure why she made a point “of brining my family here in the future” - it’s not particularly child-friendly, to the point that I didn’t see a single child there.
- Random but I can only think of one instance where she’s ever visited a museum when travelling? It was with her friend last summer before they did Medsailors. It’s all “vibes” over “learning” with Christianne.
- I still can’t see the house thing happening.
- I binged a load of her old “What’s in my backpack?” videos recently for inspiration and was shocked by how she used to put on silly voices in a (failed) attempt to be quirky - I’d forgotten about this. That was until I watched a recent video where she exclaimed “WhAt iS gOiNg On In ThE hOuSe Of CoMmOnS?!” and I wanted the ground to swallow me up it was so cringey. I also remember her saying “We move!” in a video last summer, which was also tragic. She just can’t pull this slang off - it feels All very:
- In one of those old packing videos, she said that she would no longer be travelling with a “fan pack” as although they are a backpacker staple, she didn’t like them. Fast forward to now and she’s selling them on her clothes page and I’m pretty sure she travels with one again. Maybe she had a change of heart but they’ve also become very fashionable in the interim. I wouldn’t put it past her to shamelessly chase a trend.

I thought she planned to go home for Xmas since she wasn’t going to Australia? Did I probably forgot jsut make that up?
I think she was trying to think of another plan as Australia was too expensive. I think her parents were going to Perth for Xmas so she wasn’t going home? I could also be making that up though.
Yeah maybe it was that I just thought it was October, November and part of December in South America then the plan was Australia but was too expensive so we going to go back to the UK. Probably I’m wrong and she thought of another plan (to stay in SA) and I don’t blame her I’d do the same if my family weren’t going to be at home.

Methinks she should invest in her business and hire an editor. It's about time. Those Pakistan videos could have got a lot of traction if they came out on time to capitlise on the interest Pakistan was getting at that time. If you can afford constant alcohol and partying, then you can afford a basic Fiverr editor.
She could also do with hiring someone to do a content strategy. Her views are dwindling, and her format seems a bit dated now.

Forget the Thailand vlogs, I'm still waiting for the Egypt kitesurfing documentary that's now over a year ago.
I think it was social media/ general admin role, plus she has one of her friends as manager for solo brand now I think?
Oh yes the Egypt vlog! Where's Poppy started like this a few years back, skipping places and putting content out not in chronological order. I'm guessing with Egypt and Thailand - those two heavily featured her exs?
