The body/sex shaming on this thread is NOT cute. Seriously, there's plenty to critique but her nipples are NOT one of them and this thread has been taken over by really gross comments.

ANYWAYS, something more relevant, as I've just watched her video about the process of getting into Thailand: Perhaps if it's so difficult and stressful, that's a sign you shouldn't be doing it? Could she not stay in London for a couple more months and wait to see how the new variant plays out?

"What European city would you be interested in seeing me live in for 1 month this summer?"

"Live in" as in another extended holiday during a pandemic? We'd be interested to see you living at home in the UK like the rest of us have been for a year now. I enjoy her vlogs but come on.

(My vote would be for somewhere in Lapland, just to see how she'd survive somewhere cold without spending the whole time doing handstands on a beach in a bikini.)

Well, she’s turned going on holiday into a full-time paying job. I’d be pretty happy if I’d achieved that. It may not be paying enough to buy an unrealistically large house in one of England’s most expensive commuter areas or a two-bedroom flat in Zone 1 - she has less than no idea at all when it comes to property prices - but it pays enough for her to spend more than half her life on holiday.

I always find it a bit silly when there's a complaint about 'tourist' price being high, when in reality you're paying a very normal/probably still cheap rate in your home currency anyway i.e. complaining about the drycleaners price. If you can more than afford to pay the slightly higher rate it rubs me the wrong way to be upset when the locals earn a ton less comparatively.

Well at the moment, she’s on her way home from “holiday” and it’s not paying her enough to buy anything! “Going on holiday” is not an achievement in and of itself.
Managing to make yourself a job that's 99% leisure is pretty good going. It's no Nobel Prize, it's not going to get your name in history as one of the 100 Greatest People Who've Ever Existed and it's probably not something your grandparents are going to proudly flaunt to their neighbours but I'd be pretty pleased with myself if my job was doing handstands on the beach by day and drinking cocktails by night and taking lots of photos of myself in a bikini.

I'm not all praise - I think her videos are more interesting when she's trying to achieve something. I keep going on about this Divemaster qualification she was working on but I'd really like to see her finish that. I'm not delighted with the way she's prancing around the world as if there isn't a killer virus being spread by international travel. I think she needs to downgrade her expectations on what property she can buy where. I don't know how long this is sustainable as a career, between the social media bubble and the ongoing travel restrictions and virus mutations. I think her hair looks far prettier when it's dark than when she's attempting to make it semi-blonde and I hate those big round plastic glasses, not that either of those opinions are any of my business.

But I think it's ok if her only achievement by her late twenties is a job where she gets to swan around the world and not do anything in particular. Out of interest, what do you think she should have achieved by now?

Ughhhh I really like BB but I feel like the whole “moving to Mexico” was just a massive excuse to travel around the country as a backpacker whilst we all suffer in the UK. She didn’t even properly move. She’s been staying in Air BnBs in many towns/cities across the country.
She’s still got a room in her parents home full of her things and will undoubtedly go back there whenever she’s bored of Mexico. I know she’s saving for her first home and is very lucky to have parents who are letting her live at home to save whilst her siblings moved out a long time ago but I am so shocked that she’s done this as it doesn’t seem to be the best financial decision for her as you’d assume she’d be saving every penny so that she can buy her house? She must be rolling in dosh haha!
Sometimes I don’t think she recognises just how privileged she really is...

I also can’t bear to see her travelling like normal, stopping at many restaurants/cafes/hotels virtually every day without wearing a mask. The video where she went on the boat with her new bf made me CRINGE as everyone on the boat was masked up and she was there without a care in the world.
Sorry for the rant! Maybe I’m just jealous that she can do this whilst we are all trapped on this island but I’ve been having these thoughts for a while and needed to get them off my chest...

She said “I tend to dress a little bit more civilised when I’m in a Western country than what I do in a county like Thailand” in her most recent video. Yikes.

She’s tried to defend herself in the comments but…

Her travelling style is gap-year on a budget. She seems to drink a lot. All in all, very boring, cliche vlog.

I used to follow a few vanlifers and travellers. The pandemic has shown them all to be condescending know-it-all idiots who think eating plant based makes them immune to the virus...they all rushed back home and were travelling around in no time, in the middle of lockdown, and having dozens of people coming in and out of their newly purchased cabins, no masks, no distancing. Some moved countries when it wasn't necessary. When people talk about superspreaders, I think of all these ass*oles and their uppity attitudes

Part of backpacking culture is meeting up with people at the hostel and spending time with them. However (and yet again), she is fast approaching 30 and this is something that people in their late teens early 20s do. Of course you can still socialise with people when you’re older but it often comes more naturally and less “anyone who is around my age and wants to get drunk will do”.

It just seemed a bit tragic that she was running around the place looking for someone to socialise with and couldn’t countenance enjoying herself in her own company for just a few days.

Why does she hype things up so much and never post the content. Her entire Pakistan trip, and half of the content from turkey and Thailand last year. I just don't understand why she spends the money and doesn't release the content. Will we ever see the Pakistan stuff. Pretty sure shes going again this year. Probably after her med sailors trip lol.
I think she scrapped the Pakistan footage after being criticised for not mentioning anything about the awful flooding that was happening at the time

Is that on Insta or YouTube? I can't find it.
If you're lucky you might see a video of it on her Youtube when she comes round to posting it in 1-2 years time.

It's just the prancing around third world countries like they're some kind of playground for me. There's just no self-awareness that would usually come with maturity at all.

Now, I know you're either trolling or you've expressed yourself badly because I know that in 2021 you can't actually be calling a woman a tragedy and a failure because she hasn't got the holy trifecta of ring/baby/mortgage by that imperative biological deadline of the night before her 30th birthday.

If you ask most people what they want from life, it's "to be happy". For her life and career to be prancing around beaches on holiday, I think she'll have achieved "happy". Hell, if I could bear talking to a camera, I'd do it myself in a shot. It looks like an awesome life. She's clearly making a good amount of money out of it - she was talking about buying a not-insignificant sized house in the expensive commuter belt and now she's decided to buy a flat in central London. No zone 6 flatshare, buying her own place in zone 1 or 2, isn't it? And still having enough money left over to swan around the world for half a year every year!

But I do agree with you in a way. I'm haunted by something she said just before she moved to Mexico, that living in her parents' huge expensive house during a global pandemic "just wasn't challenging her" and I don't think spending her days snorkelling and eating tacos was challenging her either (to be fair, if I could opt out of the pandemic like that, I wouldn't challenge myself either, but those were her words). I'd love to see some personal development. I recently watched her Philippines series, when she was working her way towards her Divemaster qualification, where she had to do the rescue diver course and the first aid and the logged dives (and although the free diving qualification wasn't relevant to the Divemaster, it was another extension to her diving skills) and I liked that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but she hasn't mentioned it since, has she? I'd really like to see her finish that. And on the subject of her to-camera videos, I think it would be good if she sat and planned a proper series full of practical advice in an organised way rather than whenever something occurs to her. I think that would be very interesting and it would also be really good use of her extensive experience.
Your reply I think sums up why I both like her and taken aback at the same time, I won't lie I binged watched her videos for escapism when I found her May 2020 and thoroughly enjoyed them. Tbf, I think she has done well to travel so much, have multiple businesses and have funds for a central London flat. That is a smart move because whilst she is away, she can Air BnB host her place and being central London, it is almost a guarantee that she'll get money back with that, more so, than buying a house in the home counties. However, there are times - perhaps with how she words things - that make her seem insensitive maybe? The whole thing about "moving" to Mexico (when it was just an extended holiday), travelling during a pandemic, not being challenged etc. The pandemic has really thrown her off her stride and I don't think she knows what to do and trying to do 'business as normal' makes her look as though she is sometimes selfish and uncaring.

She is hiring a virtual assistant for £10 p/hr. this is an absolute pittance for anyone doing freelance work. If she wants anyone worth their salt she will not get it for this amount. Shame on her.
