Just watched the latest vlog about the farm volunteering, on her application she says "I love to involve myself in new projects and make a positive impact in the destinations I visit". When and where? The more recent vlogs are typically just moaning about that countries covid restrictions and the pricing of things!

I couldn't even bring myself to watch until the end, she is SO selfish and entitled, but also when has she ever done projects to help people anywya? With the climate armageddon we are facing, travel youtubers/vloggers etc just seem totally in poor taste now imo, I cannot believe it is still an industry tbh
I binged her recent Albania/Montenegro series yesterday.
The one thing that really struck me when watching her videos in quick succession was just how… transactional her relationship with the people she meets in hostels are.
In one video she’d be like “Hey! I’m here on the beach with Bill, Bob and Betty!” with little to no context about who these people are, only for Bill, Bob and Betty to completely vanish before the end of the video.
There was one guy who stuck around for two stops on the trip (he was the most attractive one from an initial group of people in the previous city) but he also vanished with little to no fanfare. At one point, she went to introduce a man she was hiking with and she forgot his name and kept the footage in the video! The whole thing was made particularly jarring when her real life friend Karen joined her at the end of the trip and she was given a starring role, in comparisons to the ‘nobodies’ in the other videos.
I’ve stayed in hostels all over the world and am not naive - I’m not expecting her to become BFFs with everyone she shares a bunkbed with. However, I can’t help but wonder if these poor people feel like they’re being used for content. Because, ultimately, that’s what Christianne is after.

You’re right. There was a shot in one video where she approached the outside of a restaurant and the two waiting staff look really awkward and uncomfortable as this girl with a camera approaches them. I can’t believe she kept that shot in.
Fundamentally, most of these people came solo backpacking so probably have no qualms walking to a beach or going to a restaurant alone. However, Christianne has content to produce and probably feels she needs a group of people to produce that “good vibes” feeling. This is evidence by the fact that she does all these solo trips but does pretty much nothing completely by herself. She always seems to drag someone along to do the most basic of activities.
Is it for her (which would be tragic - she’s 28 and should be able to enjoy her own company) or is it for the camera (which is also tragic)?
If i was in a hostel with someone like that, I wouldn't want to go near them. Something quite narcissistic and me-me-me about filming what you're doing 24/7. It would just feel really off-putting?? She also doesn't seem like she has any substance, or critically thinks about the places she goes to, just pretty shots for the gram! I wonder what these hostel people really thought about her.

her lack of comments on the pakistan floods are just awful. Although I guess what could she comment when it is people like her flying around the world all the time who are contributing to this?
Just watched the first 5 minutes of the new Canada vlog. She's complaining that she had to tip a minimum of 15% at a restaurant (where that's standard in Canada and the US) And then goes on to say that "brits in North America. We're not used to tipping". I'm sorry, but in the UK you should always tip 10% when the service has been satisfactory - It's unreal to think that she wouldn't normally tip in the UK at all.
If you can afford a trip to Canada for a wedding, you can afford to tip the staff that earn minimum wage (in the UK and in North America)

She is just stingy, also she has travelled so much, how is she not used to this?
She also isn't aware that she can't get out more than £300 on her starling card. This is your job. Do research. Help others to know more about restrictions like this. Christ alive.

She left school after her A Levels and, other than a few temp jobs here and there, I believe she’s been travelling/“influencing” ever since. I’ve alluded to this before on here but I honestly think she’s in some kind of arrested development and hasn’t moved on since the day she opened her envelope on results day 10 years ago. If I could live her life I wouldn’t want to move on either, imo she’s living the dream life
