Never feel like you have to justify your Autumn purchases to us in this thread!! 😂🍁🍂

I am so excited for Autumn walks 😁 Autumn baking, mulled cider, all my candles and wax melts, slow cooker food and filling the house with the smell of roast dinners 😌
I’ve been spending my weekends baking, I’ve just got into it and love it, except I’m melting because it’s been so warm 🤣

I love autumn but I always feel like I really want a Hallmark movie style autumn and I have never get that. I guess its kind of like Christmas as a an adult where you are forever chasing that nostalgia you had as a kid.
I do love summer but I always struggle with the hot nights. Hot days with rainy nights are my ideal.

We’re buying our first house, moving in this afternoon and trying to take my mind off the wait for completion haha, so felt right to come in and talk about my CANDLES.

I’ve got a huge WoodWick Pumpkin Praline candle ready to go straight on the coffee table as soon as it’s in. It smells gorgeous and I love the way the WWs crackle!

Summer is (thankfully) almost over so a lot of the things I’ve picked up have been autumn themed. This year is going to be so cosy. 🥹

OH ALSO, I didn’t know this until recently, but you know those Lemax Christmas village buildings? They do autumn ones now. I’m getting the Pumpkin Spice Coffee Shop to go in my living room! 🍂

I found some Body shop sugar pumpkin body scrub I still have so used that in the shower this morning and the smell was still insane and I walked back in the bathroom and it just smelt of autumn and all cosy and made me so happy 🥰

I’ve been reading loads more this year and really enjoying it and I love putting an autumn background on YouTube or rainy scene to make it (you guessed it) cosy 😂

My husband even came in from work yesterday and said to the dogs, there’s an exceedingly crispy leaf outside in the garden, who wants it 😂🍁🍂

I keep getting little waves of excitement about how cosy our house is going to be soon, I’ve put some money aside for some Autumn shopping 👀

Things I’m looking forward to in autumn:

- crisp walks on the common and hearing the leaves underfoot
- making chicken and bacon pie for dinner
- colouring while watching beauty demonstrations on QVC
- baking
- fairy lights
- being able to wear jeans and jumpers etc rather than sweating in summer clothes

Autumnal candles are my favourite, got these 2 from tk maxx after about 20 minutes sniffing them all 😄 plus in love with my new primark cushion, don’t care we’re only just into August!

With yet another heatwave (Britain's sixth one this summer, I read!) and no rain anywhere in sight, I'll be escaping into my autumnal and winter film faves early next week.

Will start with Practical Magic in prep for the sequel.

This morning I was actually cold getting out of bed. It was lovely. I do love the summer but I always struggle with hot nights as I like to get cosy in bed. Looks to be another heatwave here over the weekend and next week though!

It's been a lovely day or two although nights are still too warm.

I am praying the next heatwave will be the last one, though Septembers and even Octobers can be quite hot now at times. But I have never known weather like this in my life.

I've been obsessively pouring over autumnal content more than ever :ROFLMAO:

Oooh! Can I join? We are just about moving into Autumn here. It was 3 degrees this morning and some of the leaves on the birch trees are starting to turn.
It's FINALLY starting to go dark around 10pm.
I love this time of year.

I need some nice autumnal films / shows to add to my list! TK Maxx had so many autumn and Halloween decorations the other day. Found a block of spiced apple wax melts in a drawer so am burning those to manifest cooler days 😂

That sounds like Heaven to me, can I come?

I'm looking forward to having things like hot soups from a nice mug and snuggling under a blanket but not actually feeling too cold. My fave.

Hocus Pocus (1993)
Practical Magic (1998)
You've Got Mail (1998)
The Scent of a Woman (1993)
Little Women (2019)
Halloween (1978) and Halloween II (1981)
Harry Potter (the first and third especially)
A Little Princess (1995)
Halloweentown (opinions vary on the sequels but I love the first one from 1998, so nostalgic)
The Good Witch (2008) (if you don't mind soppy Hallmark movies)
Knives Out (2019)

I could probably go on, it's one of my obsessions

Please do go on!! I want to get loads of stuff ready to watch!

Sabrina the Teenage Witch season 1 (the original series not the Netflix) was on offer on Amazon prime and it was one of my all time faves when I was a child so have bought that, hoping the rest of the seasons will be on offer!

Me and Mr CinnamonSwirl went away for a couple of days and we came across a B&M, they had loads of the viral mug so bought myself one of those and a lovely new Autumn wreath!!

Autumn decor is going out September 15th 🍂🎃🍁

Lady in White (1988) is one I missed off. It features Christmas as well but there is a heavy Halloween focus.

The TV series Moondial from the same year is all set on/around Halloween. It's on Youtube and so good, they don't make that kind of children's TV any more as far as I'm aware which is a big shame.

It’s very cloudy and dark here this morning 😏

Thank god it’s a bit cooler in the UK, I would love it to stay low 20s so we could enjoy another month or so of summer without sweating off my proverbials 🥵

Have walked the dogs this morning while it’s still been cool and now going to get cosy for half an hour and read 🤓 I love putting a live background on YouTube like a rainy cabin or log fire while I read and it’s so relaxing.

I was going to save all my Autumn watches until September but I do this with Christmas films and never get to watch everything so I’m starting early. On my list to watch:

Practical Magic (never seen this before!),
Rewatch Virgin River and watch the newest series for the first time,
Hocus Pocus 1&2
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
Then I might give American Horror Story another watch nearer Halloween (only got to Season 3)

Got the gym soon and then taking my puppy for his jabs (😟) so we’re getting a Starbucks after as a treat.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!! Enjoy the slightly cooler weather ☁
