I am so ready for autumnal weather and walks
And being able to read a book with my legs under my duvet. I've been sleeping ontop of the duvet for months due to the heat.

Give me that crisp cold air any day.

Trying to recover from heat exhaustion here and it’s been awful. I can’t wait for crisp fresh air, baking sweet treats and lighting candles! Summer can duck off.

It got dark rather early tonight, before 9 and I had the curtains shut and the light on .

I won’t put my twinkly fairy lights on in our conservatory until it’s sufficiently dark … I asked my husband for a time check last night as I switched them on - 8.55pm!

I am also loving the darker nights, had my candles lit and it felt so cosy. My daughter decorated her bedroom yesterday with some nice little autumn bits from Poundland! Even her guinea pigs have pumpkin decorations in their enclosure ha ha . I am desperate to get my decor out but waiting till hubby goes away as then can enjoy it without him moaning. Anyone else looking forward to the new practical magic coming out?

It's one of my favourite things ever to shut the curtains at night. The sooner, the better. An effortless way to pretend the world out there isn't there!

I've been genuinely depressed bc I've had my windows open for more or less two months with only the occasional respite of a break here and there on the rare days it wasn't roasting/airless. It drives me round the bend having to let all the noise in and feeling like I've got no privacy even though you can't see through from the street.

I hear you. I also love to turn on the fairy lights and have lamps on, neither of which feel right when it’s bloody boiling and still light out til 8.45

Yesss I got mine from there the other day as well. They’ve got lots of lovely ones in.

Picked up a wicker pumpkin from there that lights up as well as a few of the felt ones they do.

Ok so I was driving home from work today and stopped at traffic lights and there were brown and orange leaves falling across the road in the wind and it was actually magical, if it wasn’t a crime, I’d have taken my phone out and taken a video, it was so nice 🥹

Can I put my autumn decor out tomorrow? Is that weird!!?? I love summer but what is the harm of getting ready to be all nice and cosy

My plan is to do it while my husband is at work then he’ll get home and be like, oh pumpkins. He said OCTOBER to me when I first said I wanted to get the autumn decor out….. 🫠

However the wreath for the door can wait til September 1st because I’m scared of judgement from the neighbours
