My absolute favourite is Sep 1st because although the "off to Hogwarts" memes get a bit much, I do like Harry Potter so it's nice to see all the autumnal colours from that world and the cosy academia in general vibes.

Interesting. I see it's in Yorkshire. Yorkshire generally seems a good shout for Autumn/Winter stuff. I need to visit more country estates, too.
Whitby is good , rather spooky and atmospheric. Don't visit around Halloween, it gets too busy. But the problem with the UK is that the local authorities start putting their Christmas lights up in November.
I bet the Cotswolds looks stunning during autumn!
We don't seem to have places like in the USA East Coast where Autumn/Fall is very picturesque. The US is very fortunate in that sense. I regularly hear that Virginia, North and South Carolina and New England have the best autumn 
views, but I've never been. I think I need to visit the Eastern states of the USA at some point during fall.

I dream of going to New England all the time, it looks beyond amazing.
I’ve been to Boston a few times in the Fall and Salem is easy to get to from there - I love it
