I've wanted to visit both North and South Carolina, but most of all Virginia and the Blue Ridge Mountains. I think a great time would be during autumn.

Batsford Arboretum in the Cotswolds is lovely any time of year, but especially Autumn.
York is always wonderful, especially at the end of the year.
If you are after a country house, Chatsworth is just fabulous, biased though as I am local! And if you are in the area my very favourite house is Little Morton Hall. It’s a stately home complete with a moat but tiny, like a stately starter home. It also has witch marks and tales of hauntings which make it extra fun in Autumn.

Just wanted to say, this is the best thread on Tattle. Having a bit of a hard time at the moment and all the lovely cosy chat and recommendations are keeping me going! 
I’ve heard that home bargains have their autumn bits in so I’ll be going there tomorrow for a browse. I’m having an autumn baby (due 1st October) so I’m excited to be cosy with a candle and my newborn

I'm getting excited for autumn. I like some parts of summer, but I'm over this heat now.
We're gonna be at least 28c tomorrow but probably more as I find the weather apps usually underestimate high temps.

It's 19 degrees where I am today, it almost feels cold!
I wish it was that temperature here, it’s been 29 degrees today. I’m looking forward to when this weather buggers off!
